Jays Kitchen

Very nice food.
Personally, I went in by myself and had no issues using the Wi-Fi.
I can see this is a good restaurant for larger parties and groups of people.
The time I usually go in is on a Sunday for the eat all you like buffet. I find this is quite empty when I'm there that people seem to be picking up takeaway orders or deliveries.

Vegetarian options: A lot of Indian food is naturally vegetarian anyway I guess.

Dietary restrictions: You can tell the staff if you got any restrictions in your diet and they can cater for that. I would also recommend just reading the menu because it's fairly straightforward and well labelled.

Parking: There is a large area outside the restaurant with a side road to help navigate the tricky Junction and there is plenty of access for parking.
I would be concerned about wheelchair access.

The Royal Bengal

First time ordering tonight and the food was exceptional!
My husband went in to collect the food and said how lovely and friendly the staff were and the customer service was fantastic.

Palmer Street Bottle

How dare you be sold out of both the Seville marmalade, *and* the chili sausage rolls ?? I had a standard one instead which was top tier ?? Also had a pint of Floral something (4% ish), which was absolutely superb; reminds me I need to go back for another, or maybe they do cans ? Lovely vibe and a Wii upstairs as a distraction for the kids if you want a coffee and a break I guess. Lovely establishment ?

Rye Bakery

Busy on a midweek day which shows it's popularity.
Lots of mum s and children who always manage to locate a good cafe.
We had a tasty mushroom soup and pasty with salad for lunch - delicious! The coffee was top drawer and washed down their delicious Brownie and cinnamon bun. Need to return for the cardamom bun!

The Old Bath Arms

Glad we found this place after searching online. While away on a long weekend. Staff were so attentive and fun to talk too. Real good laugh. Food was great. Everyone on getting home said they found it all really really good. It's got a great atmosphere too. Wouldn't hesitate on recommending.

Frome Tool & Gauge

Very clean and well run ‘cafe’ that even has a drive through service. It’s situated in an old factory that has been converted into a business centre. All very impressive. Only a few minutes drive from the centre of Frome.

Costa Coffee

Dani is an absolute pleasure every time I visit Costa Coffee. All the staff are good, but Dani is something special. She is always friendly, professional, and welcoming, making customers feel comfortable from the moment they walk in. She is very fast at making coffee, and when she is working, I never have to wait long for my drink, even during busy times. Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and efficiency really stand out. Dani is a real credit to the team and helps create a great atmosphere in the store. Highly recommended!

Cordero Lounge

Never had a bad meal or service here. Really lovely down to earth cosy place. Choice of upstairs or downstairs seating. Great menu and we absolutely love the Tapas selection. Often an after school meal for my son and I to relax after a busy week. Staff are very polite and friendly and nothing is ever too much. Always clean and tidy. Lovely place and would highly recommend it.

Greggs

As always, happy and smiling staff.
The young man who served me was a new member of staff, he greeted me with a smile and very politely as what I would like, very confidently.
I visit Gregat at least once a week, and always find good food, drink, and fantastic staff.

Kid-friendliness: Food and drinks available for children.
Although most children love Greggs sausage rolls, as do many adults , including me.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly.

Kings Kebab | Frome

Very impressed with the quality of the food and speedy home delivery service. The salads are plentiful and very fresh. The meat is tender and perfectly cooked. Totally recommend

The Walled Garden at Mells

Beautiful garden with a fantastic selection of food made with locally sourced ingredients. Lots of seating so we were able to find a spot even on a busy bank holiday weekend. Prompt service despite how busy it was.

Woolpack

Beutiful and lush food, warm and welcoming place, amazing service would name the young lad who serviced us but can't remember his name sorry, but had a nice tattoo on his hand, and the manager was really welcoming and helpful. Definitely will be returning and wood recommend this Jem of a pub/restaurant ?

Coop Kitchen at The Ship

Ordered 2 burgers and halloumi bites for take out - all the food was DELICIOUS. Exactly what we were craving and was ready on time so easy to pick up, will definitely be coming again.

3 of us went for a meal this evening and it was amazing. All the food was delicious and incredibly tasty. The service was super quick and super friendly. We plan to return very soon. Thank you for the lovely experience!

Frome Kebab & Pizza plus

Went here at the weekend after a few pints. Ordered a lamb shish and it was prepared within minutes! I asked how they cooked it so fast and the guy told me he was cooking it for his dinner.. Felt a bit bad taking his dinner, but that was great service. The kebab was very tasty. So much better than awful Charcoal Grill alternative. Also, my friend ordered chips and they were delicious!

Dragon Pearl

We ordered off the coeliac menu and the food was amazing! It was lovely to be able to order and not worry about asking loads of questions, the staff are knowledgeable and I even asked for some sweet chilli to be stir-fried into one of the dishes and it was amazing!!! The food had a great balance of flavour.\n\nHighly recommend!

Frome Flyer Beefeater

A lovely clean, tidy & spacious pub/restaurant. Tables well laid out with plenty of rooms between them. Service was very good; staff were welcoming, helpful & friendly. After ordering food we didn't have to wait very long, around 20-25 minutes, for it to arrive. Food was very nice & enjoyable but nothing special. Not value for money. Not very big portions either, was expecting more on my plate for the price.
We were staying in the Premier Inn adjacent to the Beefeater so it was convenient to eat in the Beefeater. The following morning we went into the Beefeater for coffee & I used the toilet before we left. Whilst going into a toilet cubicle I checked the toilet paper holdrr & it was empty. I checked the other two cubicles but they were also empty. I went to the bar & told who I presumed was the Manager & asked if someone could put some more in there but was told by him that they didn't have any! I asked if the staff toilets had any paper but was told No. I asked for some kitchen roll instead but was also told No. Good job I carry a pack of tissues in my bag! I also gave some to a woman & her young daughter who came in after me. I washed my hands afterwards but a tiny drop of soap squirted onto my hand & couldn't use the hand drier afterwards because it wasn't working & there were no paper towels to use! On my way out I told the Manager again there was no soap & the hand drier wasn't working but there was no apology. I won't be eating here again!

The Foresters

Lovely pub and great food. The pan fried chicken with stilton sauce, mash and veggies was very yummy. Service was great. Staff are really friendly and polite too.

Black Swan Arts

Small art gallery with interesting art work. Exhibition in upstairs. Beautiful collection of contemporary pottery work on 3/24/2026. Very warm and welcoming place.

Projects Store & Kitchen Frome

Fantastic food, friendly service and a lovely atmosphere! I would love to go back and sit on the terrace at the back as it looked beautiful. Highly recommend ordering the Turkish eggs as they were delicious. Love that it's dog friendly too!

Just Ales 2

What a special place! Saw a micropub on google maps so took a closer look. To find the friendliest dog ever smiling back at you on arrival was a very promising start. Then seeing the amazing selection of cider, beer and Somerset cider brandy (marmite apparently but we loved it) sealed the deal. We are generally pretty quiet people but the owners give you such a warm welcome it’s impossible not to engage. What a treat, and we will definitely be back!

White Row Farm

One of our favourites to top up the weekly food shop and until recently, have Friday Fish and Chips. Unfortunately the recent price increases (supposedly due the price of fish specifically) means we will take our custom elsewhere. £21.60 for cod and chips is daylight robbery (esp when you breakdown labour, materials and prep costs).

Happy Valley

I was sceptical but have had 2 recent takeaways now and have been very pleased. Tasty, quick service and reasonably priced. And no I don’t work for them, I’m an independent neighbour living close by and thought I should give it a go.
Tidy inside bit my suggestion would be to tidy up the exterior, nice new sign would make a big difference

The Cross Keys

Went here while camping near Longleat safari , the food was amazing I had a homemade jalfrezi curry which was delicious and portion sizes were amazing. The staff were welcoming and so friendly and the atmosphere was great ! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

The High Pavement

Could not fault this place. Plenty of options for us as vegans, allergy aware, outstanding service, some of the most delicious food I’ve had all summer and couldn’t believe how reasonably priced this place is for the quality of food. I will definitely be back if I’m ever in Frome again, and would recommend High Pavement without hesitation. You do need to book though, as they get very busy!

The staff were also incredibly accommodating, as I made a special request around seating due to being immunocompromised due to cancer. They phoned me up to discuss options ahead of my booking, which really put me at ease. I felt well looked after and this felt so special and important as I do not get many good days in between treatment cycles. I really appreciated this especially as the restaurant is small and they’re incredibly busy.

Castello Restaurant

Just visited as we were in the area for my birthday. The service was exceptional and the manager was very attentive and took the time to chat with us when we sat down. We felt like a valued customer and the price point was good, mainly around £15 each for mains, but the portions were fantastic. We would recommend this place to anyone. A tastefully decorated restaurant on a charming street with great food and wonderful staff.

Moo & Two

Lovely little coffee shop, delicious takeaway oat flat white using Round Hill Roasters coffee. 2 baristas serving on Saturday 9th August were so kind and helpful to our group. Thank you!

Palette and Pasture

We used Pallete and Pasture for our wedding and were so glad we picked them! Multiple guests have told us how incredible the ice cream was and that it was a highlight of the day. We were able to pick any flavours and they had a great selection for intolerances and allergies. Rachel and Paul were so friendly and profesional, i would highly recommend Pallete and Pasture for a wedding!

The Good Heart

Really lovely café, all the cakes were vegan on the day we visited, and there were lots of vegan savoury options available too. Great service and very good value for money.

Platform 1 cafe

Had a great butty, coffee & laugh here. Definitely a great place to visit especially if waiting for a train.

Highly recommend this Frome Gem.

The Vine Tree & The Tree House

I went to watch a music gig at the venue upstairs so didn't go in the main pub.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the music was good quality from the 2 bands I saw.

Lungi Babas

I have never been so lavishly fed by a pair of samosas in my life. They were so full and so yummy. Mahesh was super friendly and the vibes of the place were impeccable. I will always leave this place feeling very happily fed.

The Sun Inn

I could see that the locals were enjoying themselves when I visited but it wasn't to my preference. That said I'm not going to mark it down because of that. If you like a loud juke box (Deep Purple, Genesis....etc), pool and singing this is the place for you. The garden was pleasant and well appointed. The range of drinks was good. Bar staff were polite.

The Lamb & Fountain

Newly discovered traditional Somerset local that reminds me of the one my father used to take me to when I was younger.. love the place almost good enough reason to move to Frome!

The service at the bar was fast and friendly..and the Thai food, absolutely delicious! Probably one of the best Thai meals I've ever had. Had a Red Curry (vegetable) and Massaman curry and they were both divine! Would not hesitate to recommend this place, and hopefully we can return!

Paul’s Plaice

Food:
Fish and (sweet potato) chips. Tuesday to Thursday they do gluten free options also making this the best chippy I've visited.
Service:
Staff even remember how much salt and vinegar to add. What could be better?

King Fisher

Living in Poole, on occasional visits to Frome I always visit king fisher to savour the food from their extensive menu. I’ve always found the meals to be delicious with generous portions.
On my last visit I mislaid my wallet containing
Driving licence & cash having no idea where I’d left it. King fisher posted it back to me, all contents intact.
This action speaks volumes to me, kingfisher not only does good food but has the highest standards of honesty & customer care.

Cafe Nouveau

Friendly,Attentive staff, good food especially the cakes.mmmmm. Reasonable prices. Great location bordering open fields, go for a stroll anytime of the year,and pop in after for something yummy.

Golden Inn

Ordered a few times now, a little old school ordering over phone and taking card which is refreshing and just as fast as online services to be honest (what’s wrong with taking to people anyway?), traditional Chinese I suppose and always as expected!

China Capital

This Chinese is in walking distance from me and I've just moved to the area, so you can imagine how much I was hoping it would deliver (I mean in quality, although they do deliver as well I'm sure ?). They did, it was delicious ? If you think crispy salt and pepper chicken with capital sauce and plain chow mein sounds good, you're wrong. It was actually god tier ???

Codswallop Fish & Chips

Been a while since we had fish and chips. Last night the food provided by Codswallop was very good - the fish was tasty, the chips were crisp and it was all served fresh and hot

Subway

The best Subway around. We come here for food instead of a Subway just down the road from us, as the quality of food and the customer service is just SO much better here. Even when ordering a delivery - Toasted food is still nice and hot, it all tastes so fresh... They should add an option on Just Eat to add a tip!!

Vegetarian options: My favourite is a simple salad wrap with vegan cheese, toasted. So good. There are clearly marked vegan and vegetarian options, as well as sauces, snacks and sweet options!
