11 Parrett Cl, LangportFriendly and polite lady at the counter. I have to say that's the best quiche I've had from a bakery. Egg custard was beautifully soft. The pastry was melt in the mouth. Defo pop in when in the area again

We had our wedding reception here and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. The food was absolutely delicious – every guest commented on how great it was and the service was second to none. The team were so attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble, and they helped make the day feel so special and stress-free. We’re so grateful and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming venue with amazing food and service. Thank you so much!

Pitney Hill, LangportGreat food in this pub, had a really pub vibe, filled with locals. We had the baked brie wedges for starter and for main had the pork, leak and cider pie, with chips, peas ans gravy. Was very delicious.

After what seemed like the longest wait the bar lady came out to say that because of the heat all the milk had gone off but someone had gone to get fresh milk! Soon enough a coffee was served. Now that is old school service

Corks at Kelways
Picts Hill, LangportWe were late for breakfast at another place in Langport and found this little gem of a place by accident, and we were delighted! We initially wanted to enjoy eating outside, which is harder to find that you'd expect ?. This cafe is right at a garden centre so you're surrounded by fragrant blooms if you sit outside. It was so so lovely and peaceful. While the other place was noisy and busy, Corks was quiet, only a few other tables at 11:30am. We were greeted by two young gentlemens with a smile who provided excellent service (hubby and I both worked in 5* hospitality so we have experience! It doesn't take much but so many places miss the mark!) Coffee was delicious and the quiche was the best I probably ever had, so tasty and just the right texture. The only small criticism is for the bread in my hubby's bacon sandwich, we would have loved some crusty sourdough instead of the basic white or brown option.
And before I forget we also met Hansel, the resident black butler kitty who was so cuddly he completely charmed us. He just sat in out laps purring the whole time!
So this is your sign to visit Corks at Kelways, you won't be disappointed. There's also a tiny gift shop with handmade goods! You're welcome! ?

The Old Pound Inn
Aller, LangportCarpark is available for parking of 2 motorhomes, which is where we stayed for the night. 24hr access to toilets and electric also available. The evening meal was delicious as was the breakfast the following morning. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating

The Bridge, Westover Trading Estate, LangportLovely dirty chia.. and quiche which was proper ‘homemade rich and full… shame the Friday pizza evenings stop after summer.. will be back next summer though for sure!

The plate was full of delicious items, each one seasoned fully and each taste was different and remarkable. Plus you can buy her vegan cook book. A really gem.

Great Bow Yard, LangportWe hired out the beautiful space at Kitchen at the Wharf for my mum’s surprise 70th birthday party, and it was absolutely brilliant! The evening was really customisable and we were able to specify the food that we would like. The team made an incredible birthday cake for the event and guests all had prosecco or a soft drink for the moment that my mum walked in. The team were so lovely and supported us through all of the planning. The food was brilliant and the space here is gorgeous. We had such a brilliant time!

The Lime Kiln Inn
Knole, LangportGreat Sunday roast. New owners/managers I understand. Will forgive the stressed welcome when we approached for an arrival drink. An older lady behind the bar was quite abrupt and told us in no uncertain terms to go and check in instead with a young lady at the end of the bar. How were we supposed to know? She wasn’t entertaining that we just wanted a drink first whilst others from our party arrived. Felt properly like I’d been told off!
Also not happy with the default added service charge so many now seem to just add to the bill. We normally tip well over 12% if have a good experience… but not when it’s expected. Realise you can ask to have it taken off (which we did and paid our own amount) but it’s put my father off returning. He’s old school.
So as I said tho, the food was great… just warm welcome next time might help us settle in and enjoy the moment better.
