Merchy's Cafe
3 Great Western Rd, MartockMerchy's is a lovely little café with delightful staff and good food. ? They are very accommodating and have been fabulous whenever I've taken my son, who cannot have dairy.
I would definitely recommend going here. Their cakes are also delicious and if you're too full, you should definitely take one to go.

The Wyndham Arms
The Wyndham Arms, Kingsbury Episcopi, MartockProper pub! Need I say more? Yes, Willow was great. I loved her philosophy on what a pub should offer, and I loved the Crew at the table which I was invited to join. Willow is reviving the lost art of traditional English pub hospitality. Single- handedly as far as I can see! Can’t wait to return.

Somerset Cider Brandy Co
Burrow Hill Burrow Way, Kingsbury Episcopi, MartockBeen going here for almost 20 years, wonderful traditional cider, perry and distilled products from apple, pear, quince and more. Your pint of cider to drink on site is poured directly from large wooden casks, they have a dry and a medium, you can also ask for half and half. *This is not filtered mass produced cider, there may be small bits of apple in your cup* you can drink onsite from shop or cider bus on busier days and there's a large canopy for shade as well as a few benches in the orchard.

The Bell Inn
3 Main St, Ash, MartockSet in the small village of Ash, I have always loved this pub. It's where I first ventured out into the grown-up world of pubs, so I am going to be slightly biased. It has had many landlords over the many years I've been going here, and the current owner and staff are amongst the very best. I can't speak about the food, but the pub has a real, local feel which is becoming quite difficult to find these days. A good selection of well-kept beers helps of course.

Bakers Arms
100 North St, MartockFriendly, talkative locals. Even pointed us in the direction to buy a take away pizza and then ate it in the pub. Had a great debate about one local walking home or phoning a friend. Drinks are good prices, nice pub in a good location. Worth a visit.Good evening.

The George
North St, MartockLovely community run little cafe opposite the church in Martock in a beautiful building made from the local stone, if only the stone could tell the stories it must of witnessed over the years. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and especially as they were in the midst of chaos after losing Internet and card payment facilities they relied on good old paper and pen.
Ordered some delicious looking cakes and cream tea for the kids, all giving a big thumbs up. I looked at the specials board and went with a simple cheese and ham toasted sandwich in white bread. Served with a side salad and crisps. Nothing special but also nothing wrong with it, all tasted as expected, freshly made with a pleasing cheese pull without totally burning my mouth.
Lovely, welcoming would love to visit again.

Rose & Crown
2 Bower Hinton, MartockReasonably priced, this is our go to pub, if you want fancy, go somewhere else, its good basic food at a very reasonably price. Been going 8 years never had a bad meal. Home made classic puds, bread butter pud or crumble, or sticky toffee. Custard or icecream, better than any chain pub

Hollies Hotel
Bower Hinton, MartockVery nice staff and the curry I had for dinner was second to none, my room however was not so good, there was a huge rip in the carpet under the bed, and on to the location,
it does get a bit sketchy at night but anything up till 8pm and it’s fine
Walkability: Very close to beach

Ayshas
The Old Railway Unit 3, North St, MartockAlways enjoy the food - it is consistent and a good selection on the menu. Their Onion Bhajis have a slight twist to the norm being Saffron infused looking at the colour and really good when hot. Nan breads are a little different to our personal travel experiences but still good.
No stars for Atmosphere due to it being a takeaway but the staff are friendly and helpful.
