Great beer, especially the Goram IPA 0% on draft. Fishcakes were delicious, decor and ambience perfect for a good meet up with friends, staff very friendly, food could have been served a bit quicker but we weren't in a rush.
Rooms and location are wonderful! Check in was easy and the gentleman that checked us is (assuming it was the manager) is very helpful and kind. Sunday roast was served bearly warm and dry, I'm sure it would have been lovely fresh. The breakfast took 45 minutes to come out after having to ask for it and then it had been sat on the pass for so long the bacon could be used to drum a tune on the plate. My wife and I had lunch at the Rising Sun Backwell on 14/01/24 with 2 friends. It was very busy but nevertheless we were served quickly. 3 ordered the roast and 1 the roast mushroom wellington. The portions were very large and 3 would have preferred the option of a smaller portion. However the food was properly cooked and very nice. Unfortunately we were all too full to have dessert. It was a very enjoyable visit.
