Had a lovely first visit to the Riverside Café with my partner after a long morning of shopping, and will definitely be visiting again. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was wonderful and friendly. There's even a nice outdoor section which overlooks the river, which is where we sat for our visit. As a Bristol Rovers' supporter attending our match away against Sheffield Wednesday (1-1), I had a meal here beforehand.Initially I was told they had no meat & potato pie left but, I was called back as they had one last portion.Pleasantly-surprised that it was home-made, and that the accompanying chips were freshly-cut. It was also served with mushy peas and gravy.Delicious, plentiful and good value, plus there was a lovely atmosphere in there.
