Overall this was fine but a couple of little things were annoying i.e. the staff seemed distracted and took ages to serve you or take plates away or get you your bill. The wine is really expensive i.e. £29 per bottle which is crazy. Food was good.
I had cause to complain regarding a a previous Sunday lunch recently so on returning I was pleased to find that the Manager, Simon, had taken my comments on board, i.e. green vegetables are a MUST with Sunday lunch (the previous occasion there had been no green veg available). We came here last night for a friends birthday and we were impressed with the food. We had the Kiev and cottage pie which was homemade and tasted lovely. Our starters were mackerel pate and soup and again these were lovely. It’s pub grub but made well. Service for drinks was a bit slow but the staff were friendly.
