It has forged it's own corner in the market. Neither cheap nor expensive. Staff efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable and a great atmosphere. Newcastle would miss this venue and other towns would benefit from it. Small enough to leave the riff raff outside, looking in
Nice layout and well heated on a cold evening. The barman was knowledgeable and friendly, and suggested drinks that were good matches to our tastes. The bottle shop portion has a great selection. The loos are outhouses off the courtyard, and are well kept.Loved it, and will definitely be going back again!
