Food was amazing, the bread was delicious warm sourdough with a generous serving of butter. We had the beef sirloin for mains which was incredible. Could not fault the food at all. I marked it down because we were offered water on arrival and it took half an hour to come. Then we ordered a Diet Coke which took another half an hour to come. As a journalist and sometime food writer / reviewer, I’ve been lucky to eat in some amazing restaurants. While Lunar gets many things right, there is certainly room for improvement in some areas. Our second visit to Niall Keating’s Lunar restaurant in truth, probably surpassed our first. Ambience, service and of course the food was excellent! The only small downside was the rather expensive charge for water. But this can be forgiven in view of everything else being first class. However, I think our next visit will be sans water!
