Eating out these days is expensive and often disappointing, in my experience, so we came in with low expectations. However, we had a wonderful meal for two. Compliments to the chef, it felt like the food had been freshly made to a good standard, which is hard to come by these days. Lovely food on the 2 courses for £18.95 menu -masses of meat in the chicken and ham pie and very tasty! Half price fizz on a Friday is a great deal! It was quite empty for a Friday lunchtime but it was a very cold day. Nice that we were sitting next to a radiator!

Very good. The Bass is excellent and as an added bonus they had Hook Norton on as well. All in all very enjoyable and dog friendly too, give it a visit I don't think you'll be disappointed ?
