Another Chestnut Group hostelry, another great little place to stay and eat. Having been to others within the group this has the same feel from the moment you step inside. Comfortable room, well stocked friendly bar and good restaurant / conservatory depending on the time of day.There are plenty of walks from the pub front door. Fantastic room and attention to detail! The free standing bath was so luxurious and needed after a very cold beach walk.Our 2 dogs were provided with beds, bowls, treats and towels. Super dog friendly location. Dunwich dog beach around 10 minutes away as well as The Ship pub (anothe Chestnut hotel and great food) and lots of woodland walks. And the Adnams cafe/shop isn't far. Very pleasant overnight stay. The room was comfortable, not huge but nice and warm.The service was very good. We had dinner and the service and good was first class. I do think you could upgrade your tables and chairs. I banged my knee on the table and I’m not ever so tall (6ft) and the chairs were not comfortable nor sturdy. I appreciate this is the country style you are going for.
