There are lots of places in Southwold for tea and cake but lots is samey and overpriced.Boating lake tearooms had a great range of delicious homemade cakes and scones. Very tasty, great service and fab location.
Great tea room with lovely view over the boating pool, no boats but enjoyed sitting in the sun watching the ducks and 3 swans. We visited twice in one day, lunchtime we had a Latte with a Brie and Cranberry Toasted Sandwich & in the afternoon we returned to have a cream tea. The following day we returned to do it all again, this time my husband had the baked potato with tuna mayo but I couldn't resist the toasted sandwich again... Yesterday 6/9/23. Lovely place lovely and clean well worth a visit! Forget the fish and chips on the pier absolutely awful, just go here and you’ll be happy, well fed and they don’t rip you off like the pier fish and chips either!
