Pubs in Cobham

“We have a work reunion and pick various places but my favourite is the Old Plough. It is a smart and well laid out inside and very well provided with warm sheltered outdoor seating. Sharing platters work well and we usually find a few of us have the calves liver. Coffee and a couple of plates of rocky road bites finishes. Beers are good and the Malbec excellent. Prices are reasonable. The real plus is the friendly efficient staff. Always a great visit.”

“Absolutely delightful Sunday roast experience! The bottomless veggies were a perfect touch. The staff went above and beyond—attentive, incredibly friendly, making our time truly enjoyable. The food, particularly the roasties, surpassed expectations, a solid 10/10.”

“I went to a wedding at this location and they were excellent hosts. The food was nothing short of perfect with a three course meal including beetroot smoked salmon, pan fried cod in sauce, and strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake. The staff were accommodating, kind, and very helpful. The space was amazing and had a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place for an event.”

“Been here lots of times before, this particular visit was at a very quiet time of day when I imagine most people are at work so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We weren’t starving so had a selection of the starters (scallops with broad beans, pressed lamb belly with broccoli and anchovies, asparagus and greens in balsamic, fat chips and a truffle mac and cheese) they were all delicious.Waiter was a lovely attentive French man and the mains and puddings on the menu looked enticing, if only we’d had bigger bellies!Lots of parking, nice outside tables too, some in the sun and plenty under some shade. If you’re in the area, honestly one of the better pub lunches around.Sunday Roasts are good here too.”

“Popped into this charming pub at lunchtime yesterday for drinks, served by a lovely lady who informed us she was from Glasgow. Friendly and sociable. Myself, son and friend only visited the town from South Wales to collect a new car. Sat in beer garden, the weather was very nice. Lovely smell of lunch coming from kitchen. Lovely charming clean pub, wish it was my local ?”
