“Wonderful Sunday roast today. Monster portion (actually two of us shared one roast!). Nice and quiet location. We went for a long walk beforehand and then sat for a late lunch. Will definitely be coming back. Lovely staff, beautiful old pub, outdoor area.”

“Had lunch here today (last visited over 8 years ago). Very pleased to say this pub has regained its previous star qualities - excellent food, very pleasing staff and joyous surroundings. The chicken, ham and mushroom pie was excellent - both in taste and genuinley home-made - not out of a package!! Well done to all concerned.”

“Love The Royal Oak. Always a warm welcome and cosy atmosphere. Tuesday quiz is fun - combined with delicious 2for1 burgers - a perfect evening. Great service from Anna.”

“Friendly, helpful landlady. A little bit of outdoor seating in front and to the side, you are on the Dorking Rd.
The food, by current measures, is cheap, and as such good value, rather than delicious.
It feels very much like a local and is just near the village green.”

“Very large portions of very good food. The service was faultless, accommodating and with a genuine smile. We would come back, for sure, though we did find the meals fairly pricey - 3 of our 4 meals were £17+, the other being a £11 flatbread pizza, though I guess the price reflects the quality and size of the food (we struggled to finish those 3 meals!). Thanks very much; next time we're in Dorking, we'll happily return!”

“Amazing spot with great views from interesting terraced seating area outside. Lovely food and friendly service, highly recommend. Be warned, parking is very limited and access is up steep stairs so would be very difficult for people who struggle with mobility”
