As always, our recent visit was perfect! The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the lovely youngsters always welcome us with a smile and have a very pleasant attitude. Nice location with a beautiful view. The food was OK. Most of the group had a Sunday roast. Potatoes could have been a bit softer (I have teeth and I struggled!) and gravy tasted quite acidic. The beef was cooked nicely. Mulled wine was served lukewarm. We let the waitress know, but nothing was really done to rectify the situation. If you pay £6.95 for a glass of mulled wine, the expectation is that you will get hot mulled wine or an offer to reheat it. I did find it quite pricey...read full review

Great pub in a nice setting. The only negative surprise was the gents, which was a tad old fashioned. Lots of atmos inside and a lovely garden. Can't comment on the food too much as we only had a cheese board. I did, however, look on enviously at the Sunday roasts that were coming out. Staff very welcoming and professional and we had really good service from Richard. Booking a must on Sundays though.
