“Had lunch here today (last visited over 8 years ago). Very pleased to say this pub has regained its previous star qualities - excellent food, very pleasing staff and joyous surroundings. The chicken, ham and mushroom pie was excellent - both in taste and genuinley home-made - not out of a package!! Well done to all concerned.”

“Wonderful Sunday roast today. Monster portion (actually two of us shared one roast!). Nice and quiet location. We went for a long walk beforehand and then sat for a late lunch. Will definitely be coming back. Lovely staff, beautiful old pub, outdoor area.”

“Friendly, helpful landlady. A little bit of outdoor seating in front and to the side, you are on the Dorking Rd.
The food, by current measures, is cheap, and as such good value, rather than delicious.
It feels very much like a local and is just near the village green.”

“Amazing!! Great food & service!! I had prawn baguette & other half had sausage & onion baguette & we shared a portion of chunky chips. Couldn't fault it!!
Guy at the bar (Landlord?) friendly & just the right amount of attentiveness.
We're not from the area & popped in as we were visiting a shop nearby. Wish we lived closer!”

“I remember, think his name was Andy, guy with a beard who use to own this pub. We are talking about the late 80's. Great pub back then. Today, still a nice place. Pool table has gone.. Oh well but they did have football on so not is all lost. What happened to Andy?”

“Amazing spot with great views from interesting terraced seating area outside. Lovely food and friendly service, highly recommend. Be warned, parking is very limited and access is up steep stairs so would be very difficult for people who struggle with mobility”
