Wonderful pub. Our car broke down outside and we went in to wait for the AA. Went out of their way to help us with water for the car, free chips for our 2 year old, really lovely people. Thanks so much.

Good food and excellent beer, Gales HSB on tap. Unfortunately a bit slow on serving the food, only one chef and one bar lady. They need to work out a better system for cooking for a large group, there were 12 of us, than taking the orders one at a time and cooking the orders one at a time as they arrived. Would have sped things up if they had cooked all the fish and chips together. Possibly the chef was not aware the orders were for the same group!

Went in with my mum for a roast on Sunday. The new landlord was absolutely lovely, he is a real people person. The pub is a real family affair. They all made us feel so incredibly welcome and made such a fuss of my 2 dogs bringing over chews for both of them. I would happily stop in there for a drink on my own. I can guarantee you are likely to meet a friendly face and be greeted with a warm smile. The food was hearty, home cooked and incredibly good value.The portions were large...read full review
