Been to the Inn on the Lake before and always enjoyed a great meal there.This time I had to go to arrange a funeral reception.I went in one morning and spoke to the lovely Nicky. She arranged everything with me from start to finish.On the day of the funeral we arrived and everything was set out ready and waiting for us. average visit, my husband's belly of pork was quite dry and the price for the whole meal seemed excessive, albeit on boxing day. Service not that good, maybe due to staff levels. All staff very friendly and polite though! Probably wouldn't visit again only due to us not being local. The room was very nice, bed comfy!

Christmas Day service was great, couldn’t fault. Although I was cold at my table and asked twice to have the door closed. We paid for a Xmas meal we didn’t receive the proper side vegetables like everybody else - a young waitress gave us a side plate with tiny kale and 2 sprouts so I had to understand why she thought it was acceptable to serve that and not question it as it’s common sense so when I got the correct side vegetables I gave the side plate back to her.
