Travelled many miles to visit this parade of shops mainly for the high scoring Butchers in this shopping area. So called into Peacocks and it was like stepping back in time. Fruit and Veg on sale in any quantity the customer wants and a diverse range of fresh items. You pick your own items as many or as little as you want plus a wonderful cheese selection mainly cut to your requirements. Would be five, if I hadn't discovered a punnet of cherries, that had been added into my shopping. Didn't want them, never touched any in shop, and wouldn't have wanted to pay for them!THE receipts they produce, are useless, as it does not state individual items.... And that's of they even give you one.Eggs 50p cheaper, same size, in other butchers, along aldershot Road.Deffo a bit pricey, but stuff better than supermarkets and g Town Market, but thats in keeping with the parade...read full review
This greengrocers has been here all my life and I have been grateful to be able to go there over the last year during lockdown. It's really made me appreciate it and the quality is fantastic - I won't go back to buying my fruit or veg from a supermarket. Fantastic service and wonderful products. Staff always lovely and they have a great range, particularly love their huge lemons, apple danish, crackers and breadsticks!
