A little perplexed by some of the reviews here. After reading the reviews we were in two minds but glad we went. Highly recommend this amazing pub/restaurant. Visited The Victoria for dinner with friends last night for the first time, after hearing that a Head Chef I liked elsewhere, had joined the 'Victoria team'. Despite being told it was quiet on Thursdays, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and didn't feel quiet at all. The decor is beautiful and open fire a nice touch on a cold evening. I will never be able to order sticky toffee pudding after this. I just know I will never have one that is as nice again!The staff were wonderful and the food was out of this world... the quality is on a par with any of the Tom Kerridge restaurants we have eaten at...
