7 of us had dinner on Christmas Day and it was lovely. The staff were very attentive and the service excellent. Everyone loved the food and I particularly liked the celeriac steak.Dietary restrictions: Only one vegan dish per course but it was a short menu
We had a very pleasant table and food and drink was good as usual. The service was good, given how busy they were. When the bill arrived we found we had been overcharged by £50. In fairness, when we took it back they said they had discovered the mistake and immediately gave us the correct bill. Our waitress, Ellie, was always attentive and welcoming. I would recommend the Blue Anchor.

Met with some friends for food, drinks and a catch up. Had not eaten here before and friends chose the venue.Food was great, staff friendly and helpful. I had the Diabolo pizza, which was a decent size with a generous helping of toppings.Will visit again if I am in the area.
