The cafe is a great place for cyclists to meet and eat . The food sandwiches and cake is very good . The staff are helpful and very pleasant. However the soup is awful, definitely doesn’t taste homemade and is just poor. Back in the day when Anne worked in the cafe , delicious homemade soup with a big fresh bread bun . I hope someone would address soupgate please and bring back good soup.
Lovely old village hall now a cafe. Corrugated building over 100 years old, open weekends only out of season. Popular stop off for cyclists and loads of space ( we were the only non cyclists there but don’t let that deter you ) Incredibly reasonable prices for simple sandwiches that hit the spot. Very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Had a lovely chat with the owner.
