Booked my Dad’s 70th birthday meal (upon recommendation and good reviews). I’m not from the area but I heard about the old fashioned ambience and music and my Dad’s family is local to the area. Visited last week, Bank Holiday Monday, with my daughter and grandson who was treating us to lunch. We had to ring to say we would be late as traffic was bad but they said that was no problem. We received a lovely welcome from the owner and chef and ordered coffees which were served by his wife. I chose beef bourgignon, my daughter a chicken meal and grandson a sizzling steak.
