Jones' Pizza

Fantastic pizza. Me and the mrs went to jones's pizza last weekend and we had a capo and an eryri to share. Honestly the best pizzas around, soooooo tasty! We nice local beer to wash it down and we will definitely be coming back again very soon! Top pizzas

Great pizza, everything is so fresh and tasty. With plentiful toppings, no faults. Only minor issue is my partner ordered gluten free pizza and we only received one pizza cutter whilst I know common sense comes into it (she cuts her pizza first) with potential must allergies and intolerances this could have been unsafe. Apart from that great food, 10/10!!

University Plaice

You absolutely need to order food from this place. Amazing customer service from start to finish. And the food is amazing. Gurjant and Arj are so polite and will bend over backwards to give you the best service. Please people phone directly to the shop as these guys have to pay 20% if you go through any of the delivery sites. X

Antelope Inn

I visited with my friend when walking across the Menai Bridge. Food was lovely, a decent amount of veggie options. We were served by El, who was very attentive and happy to help. Prices were better than most places in Bangor!

Clio Lounge

We were traveling around North Wales and stumbled upon Clio Lounge Café & Bar – what an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The food was outstanding. The Nasi Goreng was full of flavor, the Bang Bang Cauliflower had the perfect kick, and the Sri Lankan chicken curry was rich, aromatic, and authentic. Dessert was just as amazing – a warm, gooey brownie that was pure indulgence – and the drinks were equally fantastic.

Our waitress, Lucy, was wonderful – friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We were so impressed with the meal that we gave our compliments to the chef, who came out personally to thank us.

What really makes Clio Lounge stand out is how each dish celebrates its cultural roots while still feeling fresh and unique. If you’re in North Wales, don’t miss the chance to eat here – it’s a true culinary find!

Star Kebab and fried chicken

I think in Bangor this is the only decent takeaway. The food was good. Pizza is popular. Many variety of Chicken rolls and burger. We stayed in Bangor 3 nights and twice we have eaten her.

Bethesda chippy

Not gonna lie, looked at the menu and thought: no way.Whenever theres a big, varied menu I think they cant pull it off, it must be bad.But we've worked our way through quite a few items, and can safely say that everything is BEAUTIFUL.It is always cooked perfectly, hot and tasty.My favourites are the wraps with some chips, and my partner loves the pizzas - they are the nicest pizzas going, not bad for a chip shop!The fish was perfect, the burgers were perfect, the kebabs were perfect, hell even the onion rings were perfect.You can't find a better catch-all takeaway anywhere.Always a lovely service too, we find it hard to abstain from ordering from here. It's addictive, but in a very good way.No doubt they will have another order from us by the weeks end... Its THE BEST!

Pizza House

Had a menu come through the door so thought we would try them out for the first time! Wow! We had the order delivered and the food arrived piping hot, delivered by a very polite young man. The portions were massive and the food delicious. And as an added bonus they take cash on delivery! 10/10 definitely converted!

The Best Kebab

Best Kebab is my go-to takeaway in Bethesda. The lamb shish wraps are SO delicious and food is always served with a smile. This place is perfect for take away or sit-in, alone or with friends �����

Sunshine Take Away

This is the nicest Chinese takeaway we have been to in Bangor. The lady serving is always wonderful, and the food is fast and always piping hot. We ordered the salt and pepper box with a side of Chow Mein and it came to £23, with some free prawn crackers. We always come back to this takeaway, the lady serving is lovely enough to make us want to come back.

Smashie’s Bangor

Amazing burgers tasty and lovely crunchy seasoned chips everything was fresh and as we had ordered, food was nicely packed and ready before time it stayed online we all enjoyed the food so just shows don’t always look at the reviews make your own decision

Fantastic tasting fresh food still hot after the 10-15 minute drive home fella behind the counter was really helpful and it’s has definitely got to be the best kebab shop in Bangor

Stupendous service, all smiles and friendly demeanours, and decent greasy grub.
The food is nothing special, but I felt like I stepped into a friend's house for a nice cheap burger and chips here. I've never been treated so politely at a joint like this before.

I can't speak for delivery issues that others have reported, but the service for us was fast, efficient, and the food was actually TOO hot, but there wasn't any excess oil on the chips that's common in so many other takeaways.

Absolutely wonderful little takeaway joint.
It is worth noting that they only take cash in-store.

We visited Bangor for the evening and stumbled across this pub. Keith, Linda and Lynn were so kind and welcoming and we loved our time here!! Would recommend 100%!

Templetons

I have travelled from Norwich to Wales and on our travels we decided to stop off here as the children were hungry. Couldn't of wanted anything more. Very friendly staff, food was made to order, and my goodness wasn't it fresh. Couldn't of asked for more, but thought this little shop needed a reveiw. Thanks guys, if we catch ourself in the area again, we will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

Torna a Surriento

Food was outstanding. Just wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger. We had 3 courses each and were still hungry afterwards. We arrived when the restaurant was still kind of quiet and got put in a corner out of the way and basically felt like we were left. We had to ask for service and we waited so long for everything. We were forgotten about more than once. We liked the restaurant and the food but there definitely needs to be more staff. We were upset with how we were looked after especially since we booked a table so far in advance as well.

Oh My Cod

On the way home from Caernarfon to Preston. Looked for a good chippy, found Oh My Cod on Google and it didn't disappoint. We ordered the fish and chips twice, and a chicken nugget and chips. Got absolutely loads and couldn't get over the portion sizes. Everything cooked perfectly, in clean and fresh oil. The fish was my particular my favourite, lovely and crispy batter. The price of everything was very low, but the standard of the food is extremely high. Really wish this chippy was closer to home, but when over this way again, we'll definitely be coming back to this chippy.

Nice Irish pub in upper Bangor. They reckon you can get the best Guinness in Bangor here. I’ve not tried every establishment but I did enjoy the one I had. The fella behind the bar (Patrick) is a character and happy to chat. He’s got some good stories to be fair. Liverpool fan so I was alright with that ? hope your leg/foot is better pal ? ? ??????? ?? ?

Hung Hsing

Best Chinese around!!! We love ordering the aromatic duck and the hoisin sauce is to die for!!! The sweet chilli beef is also amazing just like everything else on their menu!

Mountain Water Takeaway

Great value for money smaller portions but for the price it was excellent value cost me £34 for 2.crispy chilli chicken 1.satay chicken 1.chicken balls 1.rice 1.BBQ ribs 2.chips and prawn crackers that would cost £55 roughly in Glasgow and it was all lovely would recommend buying one extra main if you’re a family of four and are very hungry but it hit the spot for us. Excellent

Bangor Chinese Takeaway

You will not be disappointed I mean it! Everything was supreme, the roasted beef, the wrapped shrimps, the duck. Excellent value for price, even the black pepper sauce was brilliant. I didn’t know what to choose so here is what I did, maybe it works for you too, you don’t need to know the name of the dishes, I didn't.

Call and tell them what you want (e.g., beef, noodle, roasted beed, chicken, duck, mushroom, etc.).
Then ask for sauce recommendation and for sides (I liked the plain rice, went well with the roasted beef).!

The Harp Inn

Excellent atmosphere, cheap prices, the 3 bartenders (Jess, Ed and Harry) were absolutely lovely and happy to have a laugh. A very welcoming pub and had a nice conversation with the owner too, one of my favourite pubs in the area

Mike's Bites

Got a Bacon and egg roll was brilliant and the staff were friendly and made sure to repeat my order back to make sure i was getting everything I wanted. Great service and food was delicious and well priced defo recommend to friends and family. ?

Neis

Bought a chocolate brownie to take away. At first, I felt it was a little pricey at £3.50 but WOW, it was the best tasting brownie I have ever eaten (and I often plump for one of them if they are available where I am visiting). Lovely and gooey in the middle and with a little bit of crunch on the top too. Seriously worthy of some 5-star restaurant!

Rascals Cafe Bar

Rascals has quickly become me and my partners favourite bar in the whole of Bangor. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, with all kinds of people frequenting the place.
We especially love the jukebox! Gav and Daz have made the place a worthwhile spot to visit.

China Hot Chilli Chinese Restaurant

Only been here twice (so far) and WOW! Beautiful food. Clay Pot slow cooked Beef and potato curry. Stunning. Salt and pepper spare ribs are banging. All mains are around £10-£13. Portion size is very good. Cash only by the way. Car park right opposite. And best of all. The place opens at noon on Saturday. Who doesn't love a early afternoon Chinese sit in. 5/5

Hong Kong House

got off a long train journey desperate for some food and ordered the vegetable chow mein. friendly, helpful staff, very quick service and a delicious meal - lovely flavours, fresh ingredients and not too greasy or salty - just right. amazing value too! saved my evening, thank you ?

Kyffin Cafe Deli

A wonderful little café in Bangor, in my opinion the best in the city. A little quirky with various goods for sale, and I believe opening a bookstore on the side. Excellent range of teas and I am told good coffees. Range of home baked cakes and other delicacies to eat. Very relaxing place to rest, meet up, read, etc.

Happy House

Classic Chinese takeaway, best crispy beef! Got to be enjoyed fresh as possible! Great prices! Always good service in person and over the phone. Cash only which is fine :)

The Bull Inn

Very friendly helpful service made my little dog welcome too . Cool Worthington Smooth was delightful went back two days for more .
Thanks nice balcony to sit out in the sunshine was very enjoyable.
