Pant-Yr-Afon, PenmaenmawrWe came here after a long walk and it was delightful. Two of us had the Welsh High Tea, two the traditional, but it was all fresh scones, cakes, bara brith, sandwiches with great tea and coffee.The people were lovely and this place is worth seeking out.It is dog friendly too!Not great for gluten free.Kid-friendliness: Very friendly.

The Village Bistro
Bank Buildings, 3, Pant-Yr-Afon, PenmaenmawrA group of 6 were in the area for the zip wire in Bethesda, and were not sure if we wanted to book dinner on a Saturday evening or not. Yet we were sooo very fortunate to get a table and absolutely loved our experience. We loved having the table to ourselves all evening, and being able to relax and talk about our day. The staff were absolutely wonderful and explained the way the menu works, where the price for a 3 course meal costs the price of the main that you order; you know exactly what your bill will be by the end of the meaning. This is of course apart from the wine which was very reasonable. We all walked back to our Airbnb and kept talking about the food. We even looked in an estate agent’s window deciding we all wanted to move to be near the restaurant. I can’t gush enough! If you’re in the area and love good food, you have to try this place.

3 Pant-Yr-Afon, PenmaenmawrLegitimately the kindest, most wholesome group of people with incredible management. We are so lucky to have them in our village. Their chefs are talented and have even brought us their own recipes with our orders free of charge just because they know we’d like it because of what we usually order. Don’t hesitate to try anything from their menu - they’re fantastic and we can’t thank them enough for the countless times they’ve fed us after a long day at work. Thank you very much! Lovely people.

Richmond House, PenmaenmawrI stopped off at this chineese one evening after a day out at the beach and was not disappointed.Cash only!!Pros:Food was very hot and freshSweet and sour chicken was amazingNoodles plenty of flavour and spiceNot shy on adding the cashew nuts in like some placesVery friendly girl taking orderDidn't have to wait too long for foodWas plenty of other customers coming in and out which is normally a good signFree bag of prawn crackersCons:Didn't really like the chicken and sweetcorn soup I ordered - ended up chucking it.
