Bryn Arms
Coed-Y-Llwyn, Gellilydan, Blaenau FfestiniogHad a tasty dinner here. The waitress was very friendly. She also helped finding a delicious gluten free meal!
Meal size was perfect!
We really enjoyed our evening here and highly recommend a visit at Bryn Arms.
Note that there is also a wonderful Campsite next door!

Antur Stiniog Bike Centre, Llechwedd, Blaenau FfestiniogHad a couple of coffees followed by a vegan burger and chips. All tasted really good, especially the chips, staff were friendly and service was great. Im not local, but I would definitely call in again if I'm in the area.

Power Station, A496, Blaenau FfestiniogDON'T take my 4 stars as being disappointed, it is more about the Gluten Free options for Coeliacs. So as a table of 8, we had two with Coeliac who had to watch the others eat. We did notice there was something available, but like we agreed with the staff, who were wonderfully honest with us about their kitchen setup, it wasn't worth risking.
So, on to the really nice stuff! The views were fantastic, and everyone was really nice and polite. The food was well portioned and reasonably priced, the atmosphere and décor were really interesting, and the toilets have clearly been updated.
If you wanted the extra star from me, I would love to have seen something like a jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise, baked beans, or just cheese that was safely Gluten Free. I might make it sound simple, but it really can be... to safely cater to Coeliacs, a small, dedicated preparation space, a separate microwave solely for gluten free orders, with clean, dedicated utensils. Jacket potatoes are naturally gluten free, and simple fillings are incredibly easy to keep safe if prepared with uncontaminated equipment. The main thing is avoiding cross contamination. Simple steps like using a separate tub of butter that has not touched standard bread, and washing hands before prep make all the difference.
These are low cost adjustments that would mean everyone at our table gets to enjoy your wonderful café together. We would love to come back and give that 5th star next time :)

38 High St, Blaenau FfestiniogGot a takeaway from Red Chillies this week and can say we were very happy with our food.
My dad is a fussy eater and he said it was probably the best curry he has had in a very long time. And I can say I agree, the whole family enjoyed there dishes.
Lamb Sag Walla ,Chicken Pathia, Chicken Madra, chicken Korma & Chicken tikka Massala, all went down a treat. Thank you Red Chillies

You have to keep in mind that it is comminity run, but the stay was pleasant, as were the people runing it.
One of the few times that I have had poor weather, so was happy to have a clean, warm and dry room at the end of the day.
I would certainly go back. ?

18 Church St, Blaenau FfestiniogWas skeptical after reading other reviews but was pleased with the quality of the food. For 3 of us I had chicken satay, king prawn soft noodle, kung po chicken and egg fried rice for about £20 total; each of which were very generously portioned and tasted great. I wouldn't say anything was particularly spicy if that's your thing but it was a good experience. Note that it's CASH ONLY but there's an ATM at the Co-op down the road.
