My pork belly was very tender and portion size was extremely good value. Some thought has been given to the small vegetarian section so that was good too. There are a few classic British ales on tap and the usual continental chilled ‘light biers’ too.

Great staff with a vibrant atmosphere inside, The store is clean and tidied regularly and always has products neatly organised. I have been using this store for a long time now and decided for the updated review to take the children along, Personal orders of choice are sausagerolls and cappuccino.
As mentioned, the staff are always friendly and welcoming to customers while remiaing polite and professional often provide good conversation and information relating to promotions. Rated Now 5* following a consistent 2 years of great customer service and a friendly atmosphere

The Old Library Community Cafe
The Old Library, Nantgarw Rd, CaerphillyLove having breakfast here. Fragrant coffee and specialty sandwiches. I particularly like the layout of the bookshelves and reading space. Crossways Business Park, Pontypandy Ln, CaerphillyHalloween. \nTook my 2 daughters and niece to the halloween party £8 a ticket which included entry to party/playarea and a buffet meal for the children. \nEach child received a little bag with colourings in and another with some tattoos and sweets upon signing in which the kids loved. \nThe girls in charge played games etc where the kids could win little prizes which all the kids seemed to really enjoy. My kids didn't win but they had fun. \nLots of kids running around having fun before 'trick or treating' which is what halloween is about.

Corbetts Lane, CaerphillyWent there with my family for my wedding anniversary. We were met by a lovely young lady called faith who we found out to be the duty manager for that day. She took myself and my husband to our table and took our drinks we told her that we were waiting for the rest of the family that wasn’t a problem. Then when they arrived they were shown to our table by faith who again took our drinks order and then asked if we had any dietary or allergies issues. We told her that none of the family had she then said when you are all ready head to the carvery. We saw the signs about no Yorkshires and then asked faith what the problem was she then explained that they had a problem with their Yorkshire oven. My husband understood straight away having worked in the ready meal trade for a number of years and joked with faith good luck with that we used to wait months for parts. I told him to be quiet and stop worrying the young lady. When we got to the counter the gentleman who was cutting the meat was chirpy fellow my grandchildren thought he was hilarious we found out his name was Darren. When we served our meat we moved on to the veg counter what a good selection of veg even my fussy grandchildren were happy and I must none of us were disappointed food was hot and tasty. I want to give a big shout out to Faith Darren and the team . On another note as we were leaving we heard someone having a go at poor old Faith about the yorkshires . I had to stop myself from saying something. Don’t forget these people work hard at what they do and 99% of the time it’s out of their control. BE KIND

Angel House is most definitely the best Chinese takeaway in the Caerphilly area. It could possibly be the best in South Wales! I haven't tried a single dish from the menu that I have not enjoyed... And I absolutely love their pancake rolls, which they cram with meat. Soooo tasty!!

I decided to give it a go, I think it's almost impossible to get fish and chips wrong.The place was nice, perfectly adequate, the service was quick enough and definitely friendly and the atmosphere was as a "chip shop" so a winner there too.If it was my place, I would do 3 things differently.I would check the oil quality and get something better. This is a shop selling deep fried food, the oil is one of the most important things in there, don't go cheap on your tools.The salt and vinegar wasn't great, as above, I'd go for the chip shop special vinegar and decent salt rather than table salt but to be fair, most people wouldn't know the difference.Potatoes are the last thing I'd change. There are only 2 potato varieties you can use for quality chips. They're expensive by comparison but everyone can taste the difference with those.In balance, I was expecting bad because the feedback I'd had but was impressed.Worth a try, not going to win any awards but perfectly adequate and friendly
