5, Wesley Buildings, Newport Rd, CaldicotHad a fantastic evening here tonight with close friend and my 3 children. Atmosphere was relaxed and fun, staff all very welcoming and accommodating. Am always impressed with the Manager (or may be the Owner, not sure). He is so personable and appears very committed to gaining honest feedback on the food. The food was genuinely outstanding, as a group we all ordered different starters and mains and every one of them was excellent. I cannot find fault with any aspect and it will continue to be my restaurant of choice for any occasion. Thank you ?Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly, welcoming of children

2 The Square, Magor, CaldicotAbsolutely stunning little find. Found quite by accident while on a quick hike. Beautiful little village with lots of shops and amenities. Mia's is a perfect blend of modern convenience coffee shop with small town smiles and service. Definitely worth stopping by.

The Measure Inn
63-65 Newport Rd, CaldicotI was here with my family on a Thursday evening. We played billard, Dart and listened to live music.
The locals were so nice and invited us to dance and sing with them.
We had a wonderful night and in the morning we got a very nice breakfast.
I'd love to come back asap <333

Service was great and staff were friendly.
The only thing that let's this place down is the outside. It looks horrible. It really needs a change to the look of the building, it just looks like a black brick.

Superb meals, nice and hot, very fresh. I had the Tandoori Grill ( as good as in Cochin), worth every penny, the Korma, both veg and chicken were very flavoursome and thankyou for the poppadoms. Looking forward to you opening a branch in Exeter. Namaste.

180 Newport Rd, CaldicotOk loved this. Ordering was easy staff were friendly. Delivery was quick and driver lovely. It was reasonably priced. The best thing is the food itself was not oily / greasy. Rice and chicken balls lovely and dry, curry and chow mein tasty and made with decent ingredients. Honestly I couldn’t fault it !

The Coach and Horses Inn
Caerwent, CaldicotEntrance for B&B and restaurant is through the back, outdoor patio from the parking lot.
Nice place, restaurant separate from pub for those who like a more calm environment. Room was cosy enough for us and really feels like home.
Located in the historic Roman city of Caerwent! Stay within the inner walled city. Very peaceful around the area.
Food was always made fresh. Chicken with garlic mushroom sauce was amazing. Get their hot choco if you are also a non-coffee drinker.
Room has functioning TV and en suite. A radiator and an extra heater. Several outlets around. Lots of free coffee and tea and an electric kettle inside the room as well as mini-fridge. Since it's a b&b bring your own toiletries..but there is free soap. We stayed in Feb so still has cold winters and rain drizzling.
Wonderful owners, Nick and Kate made us feel very welcome when we stayed for a night.

Whilst staff seemed friendly, they did tend to do more chatting in the back than serving in the front.
Saw a person waiting for 3min before higher management had to intervene.
Perhaps a bell on the front desk would benefit?

180c Newport Rd, CaldicotWe order for the shish and kofte kebabs. They are generous portions and fresh. Ordering can be up to an hour during peak times but if you plan ahead with this in mind, then the wait is hardly noticeable. The pizza offer is great for when we have friends & family visiting. I think I have had one mistake in 3 years, they happen.

They were happy to cook all fresh, The staff are very friendly and a good welcoming environment . Have to say tonights portions were very generous and very tasty .
