180A Newport Rd, CaldicotWe had Sunday lunch at the Dag today and it was very tasty, we are not regular pub visitors but when we do go out for a drink we go to the Dag. Drinks are always great and very reasonable, staff very friendly. We did have an evening meal a few months ago and this was also very tasty. We would certainly recommend the Dag.

60 Newport Rd, CaldicotWent there last friday with a bunch of mates, service was absolutely spot on, starter was a kebab cocktail which came out flaming out and was absolutely incredible, then for mains i had a nagaraja with keema rice and that certainly hit the spot, portion was big as well so had to take the rest home which they did no problems. Highly recommend and will defo be going again soon

Only minus 1 star as the toilets desperately need an update. They were the same 21 years ago and haven't changed since. Hand dryer has a mind of its own.

Was staying in the nearby hotel, so it was convenient for dinner.Parking: No problem parking. The entrance road seems very uneven though so be careful.

We recommend the kebab cocktail starter an absolute favourite of ours and a usual item on our orders. We have tried many curries on the menu and none have disappointed. Thank you all .

Caerwent, CaldicotSunday lunch for 4 and accompanied by a dog! Service was excellent as was the food and the atmosphere. We were made to feel very welcome and the whole experience was great. Great value for money, excellent Sunday roast and more than we could eat. We can't wait to come again! Highly recommended.

It was on a Sunday and so there was a buffet spread with many options and the food was delicious too. The lamb curry was a hit. We hosted around 40 people. They have a separate party hall which is quite spacious. If you're planning to throw a party then you can consider this restaurant. Overall, we had a lovely experience here.

Dec 2022. They must increase their prices in line with other such establishments or risk going out of business. Their food is fantastic & people will pay extra to help keep them going ? My only complaint is they're so popular, there's always a queue ? Love this place, the service & quality of food ??

Rice and chicken balls lovely and dry, curry and chow mein tasty and made with decent ingredients. Honestly I couldn’t fault it !

2 Church Rd, CaldicotI haven visited The Castle Inn to eat a few times since it has been under the new ownership and really enjoyed all my visits. Sunday Lunch: The Sunday lunch is really nice here, good value and portion sizes are good. On 1 visit I was told by the waiter when asking for more gravy that I was only allowed 1 extra boat, which I thought was a little odd, however I was not told that on other visits. Main Menu: The main menu is good with a choice for meat and non-meat eaters. I have eaten here at both lunch time and evening time. I would say that for lunch there is not a separate menu, so there are not really lighter options, I went for a starter instead, but a smaller/lighter lunch menu would have been welcome. Food on all occasions has been lovely, well cooked and tasty. Christmas Fayre Menu: Myself and my friends booked this for December, however as we booked by September we had a free bottle of wine for the table which was a nice touch. £5 deposit and you had to pre-order. Food was all lovely, they did not have any Sauvignon Blanc wine available which is an oversight as I would say it is the most popular. Overall: Lovely pub that serves good food! I would recommend a visit.

4AE, 184 Newport Rd, Caldicotpersonally I think the Fish and chips here are great and I have used many times, the only thing that lets them down is the painfully slow service, there is zero multi tasking going on, it really is painful to watch, the sign at the counter says training new staff please be patient, I am all for that but this sign has been up months, how long can it take to train someone ?Please get some kind of system going and help each other out.....

Domino's Pizza - Caldicot
11, Wesley Buildings, Newport Rd, CaldicotWe had chicken strips with wedges, two pizzas: pepperoni & margarita. Everything was very tasty and the pizza dough had a nice crunch. We received plenty of delicious dips for free. The garlic sauce was our favourite. We were served by young people on bank holiday Monday. They were polite, fast and well trained as our food was spot on !
