A traditional village pub with gastro pub food and some traditional modern British pub classics. For real ale the Kings Arms had Young's bitter or Brains SA on handpump on my first visit, with Courage Best instead of SA on my second. While this generation of Best is a bland pint, it is ok for an afternoon beer or a driver. The cider is Inch's keg. Upmarket high quality pies and food (market menu) and wine at upmarket prices. We were dropping someone off at Cardiff Airport and thought we'd stop for Sunday lunch nearby. We chose the King's Arms, and I'm so glad we did. We we're greeted by a friendly member of staff who guided us through to the restaurant. We ordered 4 soft drinks and decided on 3 roast beef and a roast lamb. It all arrived very quickly. Cold and draughty inside on a cold evening. Heating would have been appreciated as we all dined in our coats! Restrooms were even colder!Food was tasty but portions on the meagre side. Expensive for what you get.Young staff pleasant enough but not particularly attentive. Had to find them to ask them to take the dessert order after a significant wait.Just an ok from me I’m afraid
