My husband and I had an evening meal at the Railway yesterday and it was excellent and very nicely presented. My husband had the pork and I had the balsamic chicken which were on the Specials Board and would really recommend these meals. Service was also excellent.
Motorhome stopoverWe received a very warm and friendly welcome here . The railway hotel is large traditional pub made up of several cozy areas all nicely decorated .The food was home cooked (a very rare find), delicious and very reasonably priced. I had chicken and bacon pie which was stuffed full of delicious meat and bacon. I would definitely recommend dining here. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Staying in the area for a couple of days, so decided to head to the pub for an evening meal. The outside doesn’t really have much curb appeal (sorry!) but the inside is really quirky and well done, toilets are lovely and clean. Staff really friendly and so helpful in accommodating dietary allergies. Food was well cooked, well presented and plentiful. Had a lovely meal and will be returning tomorrow night for another evening meal. Thanks guys x
