Bridgend Inn

Couldn't recommend this place enough. Visited for the first time today with my bamp and daughter and the food was amazing. Gluten free friendly with plenty of options to choose from. Also huge portions for the price! The chips was out of this world!! Thank you!!

Premier Inn Ebbw Vale hotel

Excellent value for money. Supermarket just down the road, Brewer Fayre next door for very good meals. Stayed in a few Premier inns in the last few weeks and this was the best.

Nans Cafe

£8 for this breakfast! It does come with other things black pudding and mushrooms etc but as I don’t like them I was allowed to swap and have extra sausage bacon etc

Amazing food, very tasty, very clean place to eat, really nice staff, very very happy with this breakfast and will deffo go back there when I’m next in Blaina, gave the plate back white which the staff member laughed and said that’s a compliment in itself. great and fantastic breakkie just what me and my colleagues needed on a Friday morning.

Food is great! Shop is great, service is great. But opening times are terrible, by the time I finish work it’s never open. If this was open longer I would come here daily.

Shane's Fish Bar.

Shane's Chippy is the best around, by far, sounds like an old cliche but I say it with conviction, The warmers are always fully stocked up with a variety of sides, chips are absolutely amazing with a very generous portion! The prices are incredibly low and the staff are just so absolutely friendly with nothing being an effort, go there once and you'll never go anywhere again! A chippy with the rarity of having a passion for what they do!

The Picture House - JD Wetherspoon

Meal with my dad and my dad had the “sticky Korean fried chicken bowl” and he said “that is the best meal he’s ever had in a Wetherspoons pub! Top marks to the chef and lady behind the bar (Samantha) who was very kind and really helpful for the visit!

Car park was spacious and very clean Seating area was clean and has good lighting Toilets small but clean Food was delicious served and recieved my food within 5 minutes of ordering

The White Lion

Have only been a couple of times so unable to give 5* @ present. Felt welcomed on both occasions, prices are good and staff friendly. Was told bad things about it, but can only say good things myself. Personally The only odd thing was the look of the place, the name to me suggests old country pub, fireplace and cosy. The look was more like an (updated) social centre but proud to call it my local.

Really enjoyed the food had 2 Lasagna a bit too Tomatoey but nice and hot Salad and Garlic bread \nWe finished off with Caramel Apple Betty which was lovely and at £16 for 4 Meals was excellent,\nStaff very good place moderately busy \nHowever when we came out we saw the Car Parking sign which we didn’t see earlier as it was tipping down with rain \nThe Girl that checked us in didn’t mention you have to register your Vehicle \nIt was too late then, so just waiting for the standard fine £100 pay in 14 days £60 \nWhat a rip off

Had chinese from here for the first time, and they smashed it out of the park. Food was delivered on time with a polite lady, everything was boiling hot and the taste on everything was phenomenal ? it's a 10 out of 10 for us this will definitely be our go too,from now on amazing thank you ?

We tried several other local Chinese take away whilst peking town was shut for holidays. Not one matched the quality, service and flavour of peking. Would not order a Chinese from anywhere else’s

Great range of fresh sandwiches and baguettes. Along with the freshly baked pasties /sausage rolls etcThe staff here are what gives this place that extra special touch , always service with a smile ? A* Definitely recommend

Always busy here, as with most Greggs sites. The ladies are mostly happy to help and polite. You get what you pay for, inexpensive food and drinks at a reasonable standard. The cleanliness was to a good standard, infact a member of staff was wiping down tables whilst I was there. 5 stars for my last visit, picking up a flat white, before a haircut.

Domino's Pizza - Ebbw Vale

Positive experience. Ordered 8 pizzas for a business meeting lunch. Ordered online, called in and confirmed a collection time to suit my needs. No complaints at all, service was great, pizzas well cooked and tasty. I reserve 5* for outstanding, so 4* reflects a good experience and good service.

Cafe Lazeez

The mixed shawarma with naan and fries was so good, I had it 2 nights in a row. The homemade sauces take it to another level. The staff are super friendly and put every effort into ensuring you have the best dining experience. Will definitely eat here again if I'm back in the areaDietary restrictions: Everything is suitable for a Halal diet

WOW! I've had many takeaways in my time ? but I had one delivered yesterday from "Kim's kitchen .I must say !! this was the best I've ever had ?Honestly it was amazing . Was still hot when arrived & portions were very generous . Regarding the prices ,that was great to .5⭐'s to this business .I will defo recommend ,and will always be ordering from Kim's kitchen .Thankyou so much ??

Flames Kebab

Excellent meal, Very filling. The staff are extremely helpful, it would be a pleasure to get food from Flames Kebab, next time i'm in town.My meal consisted of a Chicken Wrap, Chips and a Can of Pop. Thanks.Parking: Parked in the small car park near the petrol station, short walk away from the shop.

Just had special fried rice and chicken balls with bbq sauce tray and a sausage and chips. Portions was massive and was amazing definitely will be ordering again

Today, I met perfection between two buns.

From the first glance, I knew this McDonald’s cheeseburger was special. The bun was pillowy-soft but with just enough structure to hold everything together—golden brown, not a crumb out of place. The patty was cooked to that signature McDonald’s juiciness, radiating warmth like it had been waiting just for me.

The cheese… oh, the cheese. Melted into perfect, velvety submission, draping over the patty like a royal cloak, every bite delivering that creamy, tangy hit that says, Yes, this is why you’re here.

The pickles were crisp, the onions brought just the right zing, and the ketchup-mustard combo was in perfect balance—neither overpowering, just harmonizing in a beautiful fast-food symphony. Every element played its part, every bite was as good as the last.

For once, it wasn’t just a cheeseburger. It was a reminder that even in the busiest kitchen, magic can happen. McDonald’s, you nailed it.

KFC Ebbw Vale - Waun y Pond Road

This could easily have been a very negative review, as we have had three recent home deliveries, ALL with either missing or incorrect items! The store is literally only just over a mile away, but as I am currently housebound it may as well be on the darkside of the moon as far as my circumstances dictate. The most recent order wwas delivered minus x4 fries and, no matter what your opinion of KFC fries, that ruined a much needed meal after a long drive! On this occasion though, my other half was able to go into the store the next morning to complain. To her eternal credit, the Manager (unlike her counterpart at the nearby McDonald's!) was extremely apologetic, and replaced the entire £40 order on the spot, so well done her! Subsequent deliveries have also been correct, AND pleasantly hot...??
