The Castle Inn

Honest mixed reviews. Been to this place a few times and the service and staff has been second to none, had both normal menu which our food was out of this world. Then returned for Sunday lunch which was the best I’ve ever had soft veg and the BEST red braised red cabbage I’ve ever had! Being a foodie and always trying new places this place is hard to beat. However, last week we had Sunday lunch and the roast was disappointing! Hard veg, dry hard red cabbage, and just wasn’t up to standards first time around! So disappointing as consistency is everything because people will ALWAYS return if the food is spot on especially £16 a Sunday roast! I think there are two different chefs on a Sunday at certain times so this is a hit or miss! Owners of the Castle, your pub and food are usually amazing but you need to keep to one chef on a Sunday!

The Hobby Horse

Lovely lunch today at Hobby Horse - food came out hot and well cooked - my partner had ham egg & chips which looked lush and I had steak pie which was packed with tender steak and lovely gravy - we both picked same dessert which was strawberry ice cream sundae which did not disappoint - venue was reasonably

Bridgend Inn

1st class Sunday Roasts! Efficient, friendly and professional staff. Food is excellent, well presented and hot (not luck warm like other establishments). A warm, clean and tidy little Inn. Well worth a visit and would highly recommend to others ?.

Premier Inn Ebbw Vale hotel

We have stayed here a few times. The quality has been what we have come to expect from Premier Inn, which is high. The staff in the hotel and at the Brewers Fayre are extremely cheerful and pleasant. The room rates however, seem to be lower than average, allowing us to get very good deals. This last visit we stayed before going to the rugby at the Principality, which was only 40 minutes between the hotel and the event park and ride.Rooms: Very clean and in good repairNearby activities: Perfectly situated near Bannau Brycheniog and the towns of the south Wales coast.Food & drinks: The breakfast was good enough and the staff extremely friendly. All in all a good value.

Shane's Fish Bar.

Shane's Chippy is the best around, by far, sounds like an old cliche but I say it with conviction, The warmers are always fully stocked up with a variety of sides, chips are absolutely amazing with a very generous portion! The prices are incredibly low and the staff are just so absolutely friendly with nothing being an effort, go there once and you'll never go anywhere again! A chippy with the rarity of having a passion for what they do!

Nans Cafe

Nans cafe is a lovely place to go for food. It is very well run, clean and tidy. Food is cooked fresh whilst you wait. They do plenty of variety in hot and cold food. Prices are very good and this place is well worth visiting for food. I go pretty frequently and they seem to have many regulars which is always a good sign.

The White Lion

Fantastic pub! Great atmosphere and great fun with the locals! Plenty of entertainment over the weekend and a great quiz night mid week on a Wednesday! Everyones made more than welcome! And the landlady is very welcoming!

Peking Town

Order from here quite often. No longer accept credit/debit cards. Always get free poppadom and mini veg spring rolls. Never really had a bad meal from here except every beef chow mein I have had, the beef has been really chewy. They deliver for a fee too. Not like su had it all those years ago...that was proper Chinese ....

Gourmet House

The Picture House - JD Wetherspoon

Called in at Sunday lunchtime. Plenty of seats available. Ordered the manager's special at the bar, no queue and got served really quick. Food was served quickly and tasted really good. Every staff member was friendly and helpful.

Greggs

Always busy here, as with most Greggs sites. The ladies are mostly happy to help and polite. You get what you pay for, inexpensive food and drinks at a reasonable standard. The cleanliness was to a good standard, infact a member of staff was wiping down tables whilst I was there. 5 stars for my last visit, picking up a flat white, before a haircut.

The New Ajanta Tandoori

Had a take away from here tonight. Great on the phone , polite and friendly when i collected.Our meals were full of meat and tasted great!My other half had a jalfrezi which he said had a good kick to it and the korma was just how i like it . Rice portions were great too. Will eat from here again ?

Victoria Park Brewers Fayre

Love taking my Grandchildren here the play area is brilliant and it's a lovely place to go to entertain the children and the food Is excellent value for money and plenty of it. Great service wonderful friendly staff that are always ready to help in any wayI highly recommend Victoria Park it's like home from homeI can't praise the staff enough the service here is brilliant ? ?

I believe this is the nicest Chinese around, I live in Tredegar and travel there to collect no issues. Last nights Chinese was worth the review I have ordered from here many times previously and certainly won’t be the last. Order the munch box! You won’t be disappointed for the price that you pay the quality and variety of the food that you get is second to none. If I would to order everything that’s included separate would be setting me back £30+. The chips and salt and pepper chicken are delicious what ever you put on those chips (sugar, spices?) wow so nice.ThanksLewisParking: Street parking along road outside.

Cafe Lazeez

Delivery was great, food lovely and hot and tasty.. only disappointment was that I ordered a lamb kebab with naan i made it a meal for an extra 2.00. It arrived with no naan, and yet more chips as the replacement. The chips were wasted as was my additional £. Would have prefered a call to say no naan's and be offered a refund rather than just turn up with additional food that was not wanted. 4* for quality of food 1* off for lack of communication with customer.

Cinnamon Garden

Ordered a take away this evening. Arrived within the time stated. Food was delivered hot,plenty of it,and very tasty.Enjoyed so much,I telephoned to complement the chef.Highly reccomend.

Kim's Kitchen

WOW! I've had many takeaways in my time ? but I had one delivered yesterday from "Kim's kitchen .I must say !! this was the best I've ever had ?Honestly it was amazing . Was still hot when arrived & portions were very generous . Regarding the prices ,that was great to .5⭐'s to this business .I will defo recommend ,and will always be ordering from Kim's kitchen .Thankyou so much ??

Ebbw Vale Southern Fried Chicken

Car park was spacious and very clean Seating area was clean and has good lighting Toilets small but clean Food was delicious served and recieved my food within 5 minutes of ordering

Flames Kebab

Excellent meal, Very filling. The staff are extremely helpful, it would be a pleasure to get food from Flames Kebab, next time i'm in town.My meal consisted of a Chicken Wrap, Chips and a Can of Pop. Kung Fu Takeaway

Just had special fried rice and chicken balls with bbq sauce tray and a sausage and chips. Portions was massive and was amazing definitely will be ordering again

Domino's Pizza - Ebbw Vale

Went way out of their way to help! My daughter was on a school trip with 27 other girls. Coach broke down 8 miles away on a mountain road - with no address. Will and team sent pizzas for them based on verbal directions. Team were excellent in a moment of stress. Thank you.

KFC Ebbw Vale - Waun y Pond Road

I did the drive through and service was very slow. One person was taking the order then going to payout to give our meals and take payment. Not good when in a hurry. They need more staff please. I enjoyed my meal, bucket for one although I was given 4 hot wings and only 2 original chicken pieces. I cannot eat spicy food so a little disappointed. ( my mouth was burning!) I will go again though when I am in the area. Unfortunately you do.not deliver to my part of Wales.Parking: Plenty of parking places and wury a great view!Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room for children's parties etc.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, the entrance is ideal for wheelchairs etc.

McDonald's

Gotta say probably the best McDonald's I've been too. A big competition ended around the corner from this place so as you can imagine loads of people came here, me being one of them. The order came out really quickly, the food not only tasted great but looked great for a change from McDonald's. You know they're not going to be but the onions looked freshly picked and they didn't just give you a few. It was late and half the restaurant was shut off however seeing us all coming in they didn't put up a fuss and let us sit there anyway, chatting to us listening to what we've been doing.I'd give 5* but that's gotta be saved for those restaurants which just blow you awayParking: Parked in lidle or aldi right next to it but between the two businesses there's plenty of parking
