Red Onion Garden Café
glasfryn, Cefn Rd, FishguardAbsolutely gorgeous little cafe, serving amazing coffee (one of the best I've had in a while!) and food using lots of home-grown produce. It is so serene with a private, fairytale-like garden and the staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. I would 100% recommend. Thank you and hope to visit again soon!

Theatr Gwaun
West St, FishguardWent to Theatr Gwaun today as a family with 3 kids in their 20s to see Jurassic Park. Good film and sound system excellent - a wonderful experience in an old fashioned, small quirky cinema with lots of charm and ambiance. Time for tea and snacks as well as ice cream to enjoy before, after or during the film. All snacks reasonably priced and adult tickets costing £6.50. All staff helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend - loved it!

Janes Fishguard
14-18 High St, FishguardOut of season so very quiet but had a lovely cooked breakfast sat in the sunny sheltered garden. Couldn’t fault the food and appreciated the beans not being in a miniature pan or bucket!
Followed with a nice strong cappuccino whilst my partner looks for some wool! She said her fruit smoothie was excellent.

She is high energy and has a wonderful personality. I always leave with a smile on my face after spending time at one of her tables. The restaurant attracts wide array of clients and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Try Peppers for a top notch dining experience. You won’t be disappointed.

Gellifawr Woodland Retreat
Pontfaen Rd, FishguardWe stayed at Gellifawr Woodland for a wedding, this weekend(February 26).
We arrived and the first thing we noticed was the view was amazing, all the twinkling lights around the venue, made it look warm and inviting. The lady at reception was welcoming and professional, we had a laugh with her from the second we rang the bell and frightened the life out of her. Lol.
We took a quick peak around the manor house, before going to our cottage, it was stunning.
The cottage itself was under restoration, but was clean tidy and everything we needed was there. We were left a huge hamper with so many products, from wine, bear crisps biscuits, and more, as a way of an apology for the restoration that was taking place. This restoration was minimal, painting and decorating at worse, nothing that impacted on our stay. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom well equipped. The whole cottage was comfotable, warm and relaxing.
The food on the evening before the wedding was buffet style and fairly priced. The wedding itself was breathtaking, the ladies and gentlemen had separate salons that had everything you needed available to you, the mens salon even had a large tv and PlayStation to keep them entertained.
The ceremonial area was beautiful and the different areas in the grounds for wedding photographs were breathtaking. The food at the wedding breakfast was well presented and delicious. The staff were very attentive, thus helping the wedding day run smoothly, I couldn't fault anything the whole day. Yes the bar prices were a little on high side, but what venue of this standard has cheap alcohol. So no shock there. The breakfast in the morning was buffet style, local produce and hot, with ample choice for all tastes. The staff couldn't do enough for you, any queries we delt with promptly and to the best of their abilities.
Overall I could not fault the whole weekend stay, and would definitely recommend the venue.

Fishguard Kebab House
85 West St, Fishguardfantastic — the best kebab I’ve had in a long time! Even better, it was delivered straight to our lodges, right on time. The service was excellent and the food was some of the freshest I’ve ever had. Portion sizes were perfect for my family, and everyone got to try a bit of everything we ordered. So many incredible flavours! I’d highly recommend everyone to visit or order — absolutely spot on! ?
