We have not eaten in Masala since before Covid, but had a few takeaways. We pre-booked the night before, but when we arrived we were the only ones in the restaurant (which was the case for the whole meal). They no longer server alcohol, so its soft drinks only. Likewise they only accept cash in the restaurant (if you order online for delivery / collection you can pay when you do the order on the site via debit card). Ate here as a family of 4 on a Saturday evening. We all enjoyed the food and thought it was good value. The owner was friendly & helpful. Contrary to some other reviews, we were able to pay by card. The restaurant was empty but it was early evening - the takeaway side of things did seem busy though.

Excellent dine in experience. We really enjoyed our tailored meal. I recommend trying the special chicken chat / lamb tikka starter (not on menu). Butter chicken/ makhani ask for it to be slightly spiced and garlic cheese nan.
