We came here looking for some proper pies and were not disappointed. The pies are delicious, the portions are large, the atmosphere is cosy. Nice place to have lunch and get ready for a walk
Were staying at a guest house close by and saw the reviews in TripAdvisor. Quirky pub with lots of character. Landlord very accommodating. There was a birthday party there too but we got in just before they ordered. Enjoyed my pie

Excellent pub, friendly welcome from all the staff. Their knowledge of the local area was fantastic and we were delighted to find such a fabulous watering hole after a beautiful meander through some of this area’s ancient industrial past. One special attraction was the book area where you could pick up a book by the fire and relax.We would definitely recommend and will visit again when in the area. Friends from Cardiff - look forward to seeing you again!
