The Mill Cafe and Bar
Felin Geri, Cwm-cou, Newcastle EmlynA group of 10 of us stayed at Felin Geri for a hen do and had the most wonderful time. Jane and Alan were both so wonderful and accommodating throughout the booking process and this continued with warm hospitality on our arrival and throughout our stay. The location, accommodation and facilities were perfect. The location is amazing, nestled in a lovely valley providing beautiful views and offering a real sense of escapism. It was quite something to be able to chill in the hot tub whilst looking at the uninterrupted night sky full of stars! The campsite is also a short drive to Aberteifi, beaches and other local amenities making this the perfect the base. We stayed in the Millers Cottage and the Ceri Tent which are both fantastic. The beds were super comfy! The facilities at the campsite are amazing too, in particular the bar area is fab - we just wish we'd taken up the offer of the stone bake pizzas! In summary, the group were blown away by the campsite and everything it had to offer and all expressed that they are keen to return with their families at some point in the future. We even joked about having a hen reunion just so that we have an excuse to come back! Thank you Jane and Alan!

Coopers Arms
Station Rd, Newcastle EmlynNice, cozy pub on first glance, nice little bar area and a comfy nook with large couches. Look a little deeper and you find the comfortably laid out restaurant and even a pool table. The menu has enough choice without being complicated, and hits the 'gastro-pub' vibe well. Portions are reasonable and the trump card is Bethans' excellent cooking, with really tasty, home made meals, from locally sourced ingredients. Also offering a Sunday dinner that has garnered a really positive reputation, unfortunately unavailable until January, but worth the wait (book early in the week to avoid disappointment)

The Three Compasses
Sycamore St, Newcastle EmlynReally Friendly Visited Newcastle Emlyn for the day Three compasees was a fantastic little find. Really friendly, traditional pub. Made us so welcome by the owner & the locals, we will definitely be back on another holiday . Would have stayed the whole evening. Date of visit: April 2022

Harrisons Bakery & Bistro
Sycamore St, Newcastle EmlynA long time since I've been and it's still a very pleasant experience. We were greeted as long-lost friends and the coffee was delicious. Prices for a small establishment seemed very reasonable and I'm just sorry we didn't have time to 'indulge'. Will definitely not leave it so long to visit again.

Emlyn Square, Newcastle EmlynWe stopped for a couple of drinks and some nibbles after a nice walk. It’s a lovely place and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. It was happy hour and the drinks were excellent- high quality and value for money. The pub had won some award for best venue, so there were a camera crew in filming. Unfortunately, I left my wallet in the pub. Thankfully the brilliant owners went to the trouble of writing to me and are posting the wallet back. Brilliant place, definitely worth a visit!

Market Square, Newcastle EmlynThe food here is delicious, the staff are really nice and friendly, it’s an open plan kitchen which is nice that you can see your food being prepared. Prices are decent and the portion sizes are decent. Highly recommended.

Emlyn Square, Newcastle EmlynStopped for Pie and Chips. I have to say, the fresh batch of chips were properly cooked and crispy, well drained and then salted nicely. The pie was crusty/flakey and cooked in an oven not just soft and gooey, done in the microwave.I'm very pleased that I tried this place. Paid by card, no quibbles. The atmosphere was quiet and subdued. The young lady preparing the food was on her own and busy, but very polite and did a 10/10 job with the food.

Cawdor Terrace, Newcastle EmlynFlames kebab shop located in my local hometown is absolutely fantastic, everyone who works there are polite, hardworking welcoming and nothing is too much trouble as they will know I’m very very fussy with my food I like plain with just cheese and they always deliver and present their foods/meals at a high quality. They know their customers well. Even when they are extremely busy the wait is never too long. This kebab shop is a great credit to my hometown I have NEVER had a bad meal. They are also very kind to my daughter giving her a lollipop when we visit. They listen and if you have any food intolerance you only have to say and they will pay attention to thisThank you Flames ? Red Cow, Adpar, Newcastle EmlynI drive 40 minutes out of my way to collect, it's hands down the best chinese around by a mile.(I'm kind of relieved I don't live closer to the Super Garden, I'd be the size of a house otherwise. Delicious food)

B4571, Newcastle EmlynChina Kitchen in Newcastle Emlyn is our FAVOURITE as my wife and I thoroughly enjoy the tasty food. We make it a point of treating our families visiting us from Cambridge, Haslemere in Surrey and Hayes in Middlesex which they too relish! Our nephew in Cambridge treated us to a Chinese takeaway while visiting them but, wish to insist China Kitchen takeaways are hard to beat ! Keep up the good work! Anyone writing bad reviews needs to have his/head examined!
