Old Raglan Road, Gwehelog, UskThis was the first time I had visited, and I was NOT disappointed! The actual venue is lovely, and I should imagine in the summer the views outside are good too. Service at the bar was really quick and friendly, with what appeared to be a good selection of drinks - including non alcoholic choices. I was in a party of 11 and the tables were arranged so we could sit together. I don’t eat gluten, and was a bit concerned as I hadn’t managed to get in touch before I got there, but I needn’t have worried. The Sunday lunch menu was great, and the only thing I missed out on was a Yorkshire pudding. I think they do GF ones if they know in advance, so when I go back I’ll be sure to call ahead. I enjoyed garlic mushrooms, followed by roast lamb and veg, (with GF gravy) and a pavlova to finish. It was all delicious. Good portion sizes and worth the inevitable wait when you’re in a large group. The staff were also really nice and friendly. I would absolutely recommend the Hall Inn for a nice, reasonably informal meal out.

The Black Bear Inn
Clytha Road, Bettws Newydd, UskLovely menu and really well cooked food. We had lots of snacks - pickled mackerel, rarebit, croquettes- and mains - beef with confit potatoes and anchovy mayonnaise. Great service and good drinks too!

62 Maryport St, UskHad the most amazing Sunday lunch I have been a number of times for food but took my 2 children who hadn’t been before. The food was amazing the staff were brilliant with the kids and it’s their new favourite local place to eat as it is mine ❤️

White Hart Village Inn Llangybi
Llangybi, UskKitchen closed as we got there, yet they still served us instead of sending us in our way. Very friendly staff and what an amazing burger they do. 5* is not enough to rate them

Good staff
I have to be honest the cake was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Victoria sponge was like sand, dry and absolutely no taste.
I would absolutely recommend visiting Beautiful rooms and gardens and would return.

Lots of meat on the lamb dinner, plenty of veg and extra gravy.
Staff seemed to struggle a bit towards the end, not sure if it was change of shift. But spot on apart from that

8 High St, Raglan, UskFood was outstanding. The owner (david) was so helpful couldn't do enough for us reqlly made us feel welcome what a lovely man . Got our food order spot on . We had the hunters chicken it was the best chicken iv ever tasted hands down the bacon and cheese was amazing and the bbq sauce just topped it off ? ?. Comes with loads of delicious chunky chips too, 1 portion is enough for 2 people id say ?. We will definitely be goin back very soon. Wat a Lovely place since David has took over I cant recommend enough. The young man who served us was also very polite . Quality food lovely atmosphere give it a try you won't be disappointed ?

Dil Indian Cuisine
6 Bridge St, UskCalled in on way back from a trip on a Friday evening. Place was empty apart from one table but people back and fore collecting takeaways. Waiter service was very friendly and efficient. We opted for a starter and main and both were the perfect portion size and delicious. I tried the house red wine and this too was fab.
We definitely recommend this restaurant, and would return again. There’s just an couple of observations, the interior could do with a little refresh as a bit dated, I would have the bar and reception near the door with a settee for people collecting orders to wait. That would save them walking all through the restaurant which I imagine is a pain when the place is full. The background music was on a loop, seemed to be the same song playing over and over which was a bit annoying by the time we ready to leave.
Overall though a pleasant experience and would return, food is fabulous

Parsons Bakery
11 Bridge St, UskLovely selection of cakes and fresh sandwiches. I had chicken mayonnaise and bread pudding and coffee. Delicious. Friendly staff member said I had not ordered a drink for the meal deal. Very helpful. Will visit again soon!
