A proper pub. Great selection of real ale, lots of seating outside and a large grassy area. A selection of reasonably priced sandwiches. Lovely warm fires and atmosphere in the winter. Always busy and friendly.
Had A run to the Griffin with the local scooter group????great old pub! As I remember it from years gone by.good atmosphere inside & out. Loval Morris dancers outside did a good performance! Good beer ??? outside bar. Did'nt eat but good food served. Good prices, certainly will pay a return visit soon. Give it a try, you will not be dissapointed?

The Griffin is simply a fine, traditional, old fashioned country pub. Great beer, fine bar snacks and bags of atmosphere. I can't vouch for the food as I've never eaten there, but I've heard good things. Well worth traveling to, wherever you live. Note, it's adults only. Not the place for childrenParking: Good size parking lot. At the height of summer, cars are allowed to park on the large grass field behind the pub.
