I have known so many incarnations of this place. The current being my favourite.This pub has needed a kick up the backside for a long time, and it seems to have finally found its groove.The food is excellent. As a result, it's rarely quiet, especially on a Sunday.Consider booking well in advance for a larger party.The cost is proportionate to the standard of the food.Service is a tiny bit stretched on a busy Sunday, but it's not a huge deal, generally.
My family and I had a lovely Christmas Lunch made more enjoyable by our lovely waitress. She went above and beyond to make our lunch enjoyable. When my son asked for more stuffing and gravy she just said yes no problem. Unfortunately we didn’t get her name, but she was credit to the company. The food was very good and plenty of it. It was a lovely day to remember!

We went to Saxon Mill for a family meal before Christmas. Booking was easy and communication was great. We ordered from the festive menu, the food was delicious. It was busy but the service was excellent. We had a great time, would recommend and we will definitely be returning. Thanks to the whole team, who were fabulous, particularly Katie ( Events Manager), who was brilliant.
