The Shovel Inn (lye)

We have been going into this pub since June last year. Every time we have eaten there, and each time the food has been wonderful. All th staff has ade us feel welcome. So friendly, and the selection of cider hs been great . I would recommend booking a table on the Friday to Sunday. There's a house cat that walks around from time to time. But it's very friendly. I thoroughly recommend the ribs or the brisket

Tried it for the 1st time tonight after reading the mostly good reviews . I'll just echo what others have said food is very nice staff are very friendly only slight negative is the curry portion is a little smaller than most and very slightly more expensive but as said very nice and will be returning

Big Mac's Cafe

Sandwiches are absolutely lovely. Every week the food is of the same very high standards. won't go anywhere else. highly recommend a visit eat in or takeaway.

New Flavour indian restaurant &takeaway (halal)

Had another wonderful meal here. Staff are very helpful always. An the food is the best in Dudley Borough. Never a greasy oil slick as with some resturants too horrid to name here. Full of flavour in every course. Can wait to go back tomorrow.

Anvi Indian & Bangladeshi Cuisine

First time eating here and was really impressed with the food we collected for takeout and the value for money. The lamb chops were particularly good. Friendly guys too.

Have ordered pizza from here on several occasions.Staff are friendly and I like how you can watch your pizza being made.The pizza's we've had have been hot and tasty, with plenty of toppings. Compared to other establishments, this place offers more value for your money. Collection offer is currently buy one pizza, get one half price!

Al's Diner

At one time I counted 12 places that you could get chicken and chips from between The Sun at The Station and The Pear Tree. It doesn't take much imagination to offer something original in the ways of fast food. Al's Diner have spotted a niche in the market and jumped right in. They serve burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and deserts in such authentic US surroundings, (NYC print wall paper, state-side memorabilia authentic shake-bar stools) that you half expect Arthur Fonzarelli to enter stage right with a 'Hey!' and start asking 'bout Richey. This place is very popular with tweens, who have claimed it as their own space to meet, hang out and gaze out of the window while supping a shake. Others like to drop in for a pre-pub snack before hitting the High Street. Families are catered for too, and on a Friday evening they take time out from busy schedules for some quality informal dining time together. Those who believe that 'It's Dork To Eat Pork' can join in as the hot-dogs here are made with beef. In fact, the whole menu is Halal. Service with a smile comes as standard, and they'll tweak meals to suit you. There's a level of community and philanthropy going on here which is hard to beat. If you haven't got an Uncle Sam then you can find a surrogate family member in Al.

Absolutely lovely food. Best tandoori chicken I've ever had. Only put one star for atmosphere because I've always had food delivered. Ordered a few times now and food is always hot and very tasty. I know everyone has different tastes but for me it was lovely.Vegetarian options: Vegetable curry was very tasty. I'm not vegetarian but would have this as a main course.
