Had a great time at the Royal Oak with some friends perfect spot for drinks and a chilled evening. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were friendly too. (We were served by Ness, Steph and Hollie) We ended up ordering the Caesar salads on a whim, and wow they’re unreal. Seriously one of the best I’ve had. Definitely coming back again soon!

We had a great evening at the Cobham Arms on Saturday, there were a group of us celebrating a number of our friends birthdays and we were made to feel very welcome by Danni & Mark who have recently took it over apparently... it's a lovely big cosy pub with a separate bar area, a big lounge area where the food is served, and nice grounds for when the weather is better. I noticed it was dog friendly too which will suit dog owners.The bar area has plenty of seating & has a pool table, darts board etc... as well, plenty to keep you entertained!The food was good quality with generous portions, & reasonably priced. Despite it being busy we didn't have to wait to be served drinks at any stage all night either which was great, nothing worse than spending all your time in a queue at the bar. If you're in the area give it a try, you'll not be disappointed, we really enjoyed it & we'll certainly be back when we're over that way again. Thanks for a great night!

We sat in; Food came in good time, service was very polite, with a smile and sometimes laughter. (We asked for takeaway boxes whilst sitting in)
I ordered the strawberry crepe, compared to other places I’ve been too, gave a generous amount and went down a treat! Partner ordered the cookie dough and although couldn’t finish it all, loved the taste!
Milkshake was thick and tasty (malteser) and we will definitely come back again!
Seems like it is family run and has a kind atmosphere - they did seem busy with orders but still made time for us and waited us.
Seating area is clean and nice however due to size of their restaurant was limited to 2 tables (however could house 4-6 people per table).

I eagerly anticipate sharing this establishment with others and recommending it to those who happen to be in the vicinity.

Cod & Chips, a standard that’s served at fish and chips shops, is undoubtedly the best choice for this establishment, regardless of the size of the order. In fact, the mini cod and chips is more than sufficient for a serving, as I believe you may end up with more chips than you intended. Freshly prepared and consumed within ten minutes of takeaway, the fish, chips, and mushy peas were exceptionally well-cooked and flavorful. My fiancée, who typically avoids dishes other than sushi, thoroughly enjoyed her’s with a standard serving of salt and vinegar.

The individual who prepared our meals was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We engaged in a delightful conversation about local and foreign topics, covering both lighthearted and more serious subjects, as if we had known each other for a long time. His friendly and outgoing demeanor made us feel at ease and comfortable.

The shop is relatively small but provides ample space for dining and relaxation. It is well-maintained and tidy, with a simple menu that effectively communicates the nature of the establishment as a takeaway spot that can be frequented.

I am confident that I will return to this establishment whenever I am back in the area!

Best chippy in the area. Had the fish n chips and a kebab and it all tasted amazing. The kebab meat had a lot of flavour and everything seemed fresh and tasty. The fish batter had a really nice crunch to it and nice fresh cod.

The chippy itself felt like a museum lol, the old photos of colley gate are a nice touch and rhe references everywhere to the history of The area and chain making is cool.

Thr staff ar3 super friendly too and provided free scraps which were awesome with thr kebab. Will be back!

This is a nice bar for a daytime or night drink, in which when I went at 6:00pm on a Wednesday there was no one else except me and 2 mates inside. But it’s a clean place with great service. I’d rate this a 6/10 bar. But on a Saturday or Friday night it is known to be quite violent so I’d avoid them times.Kid-friendliness: This is a mainly alcoholic beverages bar. I would bear in mind that around 10-15 years ago this bar was quite known for its frequent fights. So I’d probably stay clear with under 16’s.

Staff are friendly.When karaoke is taking place in the front bar area, it can be uncomfortably loud in there, though it is entertaining.The rear lounge area however is far more comfortable and quieter.Two pool tables, one front, one back, at just 50p per round! Nicely decorated lounge too, think it's been recently improved.The men's toilets however are a bit messy, could do with tidying up!

Amazing food !! Visited here as have been working in the area and im so happy we did !! Today I tried the mixed meat box, sausage and chips. The meat was SOOO TASTY!! Never tried battered chips before but WOW!!
Last week I had battered sausage, chips, cod bites and curry sauce ! Also amazing and super good value for money!!
