Had lunch here, not planned thought it looked a nice location, clearly they were not expecting to have as many customers as there appeared to be only 2 staffing the entire place, we ordered our food which took an age to arrive and I had never seen so much food on a plate, each plate would have fed 2 people this I consider NOT value for Money as half was left uneaten, my husband had ham and egg and the ham was not as fresh as it should be, certainly not a lovely fresh pink colour...read full review
The food was reasonable and hot. Off putting was the smelly dog wandering around. We ended up moving but he was still around. Reluctant to return. As I said food was ok but I don’t like dogs!!

Saturday night & no New Zealand savvy b I drink in here regularly (3 or4 times a week) & it's not the first time my beverage of choice has been unavailable & often there's a lack of pump & bottled beer that my partner & our friends enjoy. I understand there's a Christmas menu i did see it on Facebook & think it's expensive, but can't see any advertising for it. This is a great pub, but current management seem to be wanting to run it into the ground!
