Everything about our meal in La Brasserie was perfect. The location was elegant, the staff were attentive and charming, the food was delicious. We had two different appetizers (the pork cheek and the duck confit) and both were excellent. We both had the same entree, the bouillabaisse, which was not at all the traditional fish soup dish we expected, but rather a modern deconstructed version, still delicious and with greater eye appeal. The brasserie bar is relaxed tranquil and the bar service is excellent, we did not eat in the brasserie but the food looked good. We decided to eat in the formal restaurant, we did not have a reservation but managed to get a table without a problem.

We were staying at Premier Inn Gatwick north and it was packed. No chance of a table in the restaurant, so luckily we opted to go next door to the Sofitel Brasserie. What a great choice, it was calm, spacious and the food and wine were excellent. Service is top notch, we were seated by the charming Mr Muhammad Bilal and our waitress Nikita was attentive and delightful. Highly recommended to get away from the hustle and bustle.
