Called in here for Sunday dinner after doing the Shibden Hall walk, compliments to the chef the food was one of the best roasts I've had, the garlic mushrooms are def the best around, we were a group of 7 and everyone was complimenting the food - friendly staff and the regulars were welcoming - would definitely return
We came to this pub on the 17th of March 2022 for Saint Patrick’s Day. It was amazing then and we really enjoyed it. We came back on the 17th of March 2023 again for Saint Patrick’s Day and it has not changed at all.The pub is a good old-fashioned pub, just how it should be, the staff are so helpful, friendly, polite and the service is first class. First night dinner they ran out of food.For our first breakfast we had to wait nearly 30 minutes. Drink a reasonable price, room very clean. The bathroom could do with a sign to warn about how hot the water is and more non slip dots in the bath and a hand rail in the bath for people to grab onto. The reception and bar staff were very well mannered and nothing was a bother. We will go again
