Had Sunday lunch here with my sister today, and it was so delicious! I had made a booking and mentioned we would have a pram and the table we were given had plenty of space and we had obviously been well accommodated. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. We both had the beef. There was a good sized portion of beef but not overwhelmingly so. The food when it eventually came was really lovely. It was a busy Saturday lunch time I ordered one of the specials which was sold out so I choose something else and we waited 45 minutes before we asked where it was. People after us got food before us so I think it was lost in the system. They were very apologetic, offered free desserts but we took cake away instead and something was knocked off the bill. Despite the rain, we had such a warm welcome from all the waitresses. Lily and Darcey were lovely and went to great lengths to accommodate us, as we had dogs in tow. Nothing was too much trouble. It's a great venue with the historic backdrop, and the food was delicious. An impressive menu, well executed. We were there for a birthday celebration and despite the weather, we were made to feel very special. Many thanks
