On a wet midweek walk I stopped at Hebden Bridge, for a lunch break. I found the Watergate Tea Rooms and was met by a very welcoming staff member who showed me to a table, without having to wait. A good pot of tea and scrambled eggs, smoked salmon on toast was thoroughly enjoyed, setting me up for my next leg of my walk.

I came to hebden bridge to muse around the shops and take a walk along the canal . I always like to start with a good breakfast having walked passed all the cafes that were full of dogs I was pleasantly relieved that the Watergate cafe wasn’t. The place is bright an airy and the staff are friendly. The full English breakfast was good especially the bacon and the coffee was perfect. Right next to the car park and the river. The staff were wonderful and made a fantastic breakfast! The sausage were amazing as was the bacon and the rest! £35 for 4 people is pretty good value!! Lovely Yorkshire tea! Can’t wait to go back! Great job ?
