Lovely lunch with friends, fantastic atmosphere, very helpful friendly staff. I went for the full English and it was simply the best I’ve had in the year and half of being in Yorkshire. Massive shout out to the kitchen staff as the food looked and tasted amazing. Highly recommend, I’ll definitely be going back.
Decent pub in itself but i would never go on quiz night again. It kind of defeats the object and the community aspect when one of the teams is clearly cheating (and not even being subtle about it) and the compare doesn't care. We weren't sure if we were the only ones who had noticed but a girl from the team nearest the cheaters went up to him afterwards to ask if he knew the 'winners' had been cheating. Really good old school pub with friendly staff and a decent selection of drinks. Dog friendly with plenty of seating and a large beer garden. Only minor complaint is sometimes when the sports on, the TVs are way too loud, but it's a small issue in the grand scheme of things.
