Colliers Arms, 66 Park Rd, EllandThe Colliers Arms reopened on Saturday 31st May. The new team running it are very hospitable and ideally suited to the business. It was great to see that cask Old Brewery Bitter is usually available, sadly on today's visit, they had run out, due to its popularity. I'm assured the appropriate levels of stock will be ordered in future, as they 'find their feet'.
A full refurbishment has taken place and it was noticeably very clean throughout.
No food at the moment served, but I can imagine being so close to the crematorium it would be in an ideal location.
At the moment, they do not have a telephone connection, but I understand that is under review.
I'm sure the future for this pub will be very prosperous.

Siddal Place Pub
Siddal Place Hotel, 49 Oxford Ln, Siddal, HalifaxNot had food so can't comment. Staff are friendly and approachable. There is a group we go to on a Friday morning 10-1 that is aimed at getting the community together and helping the vulnerable to socialise rather than be alone at home.
