What a great pub and handy for Kirkgate ? too. Spoilt for choice of beers - stayed local having one of the two in house brews. If you love pubs - this’ll be right up your street - this place has an amazing history and is full of pub memorabilia. Sorry I had to leave.
One of the best places in Wakefield. Nice drinks, nice prices. Service, from Michael, was friendly, helpful and he knew alot about the history of the place (it's existed a long time). Warm cosy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place for a drink.

Lovely bar, spent ages talking with the owner and manager, very knowledgeable about beer and the brewing process, dog friendly so that's a big tick, will always make this the first port of call when in Wakefield going forward.
