Whitsbury, FordingbridgeVery comfortable rooms, well appointed, peaceful location. The en-suite bathroom was lovely but quite small. The staff are very friendly, polite and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, home cooked and fresh, overall a quality experience more in line with a hotel than a pub. We would go again!

The Royal Oak is quite simply outstanding. Faultless from start to finish and a true hidden gem — it’s hard to understate the level of excellence on display here ?. We visited as a large party for a birthday celebration ? and every single person left feeling exactly the same: blown away.
Each dish was divine ?. I started with the Scotch egg, which was genuinely life-changing good ??, followed by salmon and crayfish that was equally exceptional — beautifully cooked and full of flavour ??. Set in brilliant New Forest surroundings ?, this is an absolute must-visit and one of the best spots you could choose. Truly 5-star in every sense ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bridges
26 High St, FordingbridgeLovely cafe, we had a takeaway coffe and later went back for lunch. Dog friendly and doggie staff member present ?.
Food was really good and also great value, we managed to have 2 lunches, tea, cake and a bag of coffee for less then £40 which is a bargain.
Also love the coffe cup tiles in the bathroom!

High St, Woodgreen, FordingbridgeLovely little pub with fantastic service and hospitality. The range on the menu and on tap is small but all you need. We both had the pie with the rioja and it was absolutely 10/10. We live a 50 minute round trip from the pub but it's so worth the drive.

Food was amazing and v good sized portion.
I would drive from Fareham whenever I want a doner.
Also, bought the kids pizza meal, and for the price, pizza and fries were larger than expected.

The Three Lions
Stuckton Rd, FordingbridgeOur first visit and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed a three course delicious meal. The Bobotie starter was just what I had enjoyed in South Africa, ribs cooked to perfection followed (with a squeeze) delicious syrup sponge pudding. Restaurant was immaculately clean and we received brilliant service from Charlotte and Anna, real assets to the business. We WILL be back?

Belindas Bakery
18-20 High St, FordingbridgeSo, my Husband and I visited Belinda's today (10th October 2025) for breakfast. What a lovely experience! Smiles upon entering, lovely clean and friendly bakery come café. We were able to order any combination of a fabulous array of breakfast items, and it was no trouble when we asked if our eggs could be poached ... they were lovely. The staff were fabulous, one of the nicest breakfast experiences we have had. We are on holiday but are definitely going back again before we go home. Thank you Belinda's we had a great morning. Well, we did go back again, TWICE! Today's 3rd visit (20th October 2025) we had a late brekky and again it was superb. My choice this time was Bacon, Halloumi, Avocado, Grilled Tomato and two Fried ggs to die for! The staff at Belinda's are so welcoming it's like eating at a friend's house. What a wonderful way to spend a cold and drizzly Autumn morning, the grey sky was soon forgotten and our mood was lifted ... just like our eggs ... sunny side up! Give this establishment your support, they truly deserve it. We will definitely be back when we visit Fordingbridge again. Thank you so much, Tania and Kevin.

The Cottage Loaf
51-53 High St, FordingbridgeNot quite sure where these negative reviews belong have come from. Certainly not the cottage loaf I just tried. Excellent freshly baked pastries. (You can see the kitchen working in the back).
All three pastries we tried for breakfast were excellent and the customer service was good.

Food is fried to order, so a bit of waiting may be required, but it comes out fresh and piping hot, and you can't grumble at that.
Only take cash, which is clearly advertised at the counter, but there's a cash machine just round the corner.
Can only review on our experience, but some of their reviews are frankly baffling. Everything is fried to order, so it's wrapped up very hot. Assuming the reviews saying food is cold must live miles away or have this shop mistaken for somewhere else. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, and this has always been my experience. I get the impression they wouldn't take any nonsense off people, so the entitled and the rude may not receive the same treatment as those who come in polite and respectful.
Been in this evening and we're now sat here happy, with full bellies.

Foresters Arms
Abbots Well Rd, FordingbridgeFood was amazing went back after an awful visit 3 years ago. New owners made us feel very welcome and the whole place was very inviting. This pub is very much in my heart as used to come here with my late husband. Will def be back with the rest of the family very soon. Keep up the good work your smashing it !

75 Shaftesbury St, FordingbridgeGood food, varied menu. Popular local restaurant for take-away and dining. Offers delivery service. Managed to get a table to eat in for two on a wet saturday, food arrived shortly after order. We were able to take leftovers home afterwards. Could do with a larger dessert range, but after the main course we didn't feel like one. Would definitely recommend to others.

7-9 Bridge St, FordingbridgeWe ordered from this restaurant for the first time today, supposedly under new management. The food was very pleasant, delicious, and the portion sizes were just right. The delivery was very fast, and everything arrived hot. I can only recommend it to everyone.
